Many Protestants try trick Catholics but avoiding answering a question but dumping 4-5 other points to refute other doctrines that they don t approve to un-informed Catholics which is sinfull and full of deception. @@NMDecember1 yes those are great verses that Catholics believe and read and meditate on His Words Timothy 3:16 But it doesn’t say the Bible is the final authority Also the verse with Bereans .... they were checking if those things were true... But again, there’s nothing there that we should believe only Bible is the only Authority... Catholics believe in the Authority: 1-God 2- His Church-Catholic Church since 33ad 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Talking about the apostles tradition and teachings... 1 Corinthians 11:2 following apostolic tradition there was no Bible at that time so everything had to be word-of-mouth or small letters of instructions by apostolic tradition. 3-Bible 3rd authority because it is God‘s word. People say that the Bible is the only authority are wrong (there’s ALWAYS PROBLEMS) Martin Luther started since 1517 till today now there are over 30 to 40,000 different interpretations of the Bible and say that the Bible is the final authority but this is totally 😑 wrong 😑 Example my brother-in-law in Mexico he’s going to a brethren in church and he didn’t agree with his pastor on some issues in his Bible so he just started his own church. Nobody respects Authority.. Just our own interpretation... Acts 8:30-39 about the Ethiopian who was reading Isaiah and didn’t understand the Scriptures..... Apostle Philip explained the scriptures to him and accepted the Lord

I was also gonna be a preacher for the churches of Christ but I recently came back to the Catholic Church because I felt a call back to the church since I had already been fully initiated in my youth but I didn’t have faith back then. I was also REALLY turned off by the coc ultra fundamentalist mindset. I was glad that the Catholic Faith was indeed the fullness of truth. @@rizwanrafeek3811 In 1942 Hitler ordered Prague to be made "Judenfrei" and Christ ordered us to Love our neighbors. John 3 16 in first century Koine Greek 'pisteuo' is OBEY not Believe and the Greek tense is continuous or lifetime Obedience. So the Bishop and the Priests and laypeople walked with their Jewish neighbors to Thereseinstadst, where the Catholics was arrested and sent to Dachau where they died for their obedience. Christianity is being a willing servant and doing faithfully as the Master commands. First you do what God asks and Matthew 25 35-39 is about how well you obeyed. Salvation is a work in progress, not a moment When the same Jewish neighbors walked under the Biblical Christian's window in Prague they picked their verse which has equal scriptural weight in their theology, so Love your Neighbor is equal to Romans 13, the verse they chose to Obey Hitler and kneel to Evil. So who was the followers of Christ ? To the non-Catholics. the Religious prisoners in Dachau was 96% Catholics, because obedience matters to halt Evil, not death. Salvation is the sole goal of Biblical Christians not suffering. This repeated under Communism, the Catholic Religious sisters, the Secret Police gang raped to reject Christ none did so it was the Labour camp for 25 years. The Priests died in the Uranium mines. The Biblical Christians in the space of six years found another verse to kneel to Evil. The Communist Secret Police said with distaste for a lack of courage, "Bibličtí křesťané jsou jako pytel prdů, mohou smrdět nám a komunistické straně, ale vždy najdou verš, který nás nikdy nezpochybní." or they found a verse to be safe. An Apostolic Christian is the 21 Coptics on a Libyan beach refusing to reject Christ given to them by the Catholic Bishop of Alexandria in 54AD St Mark. The Coptics died rather then reject Christ, I honour brave men. While Biblical Christians in Europe if threaten reject Christ because they are saved even from themselves in OSAS. I The Coptics as did as those in Dachau and under the communist secret police did suffered and died working out John 3 16 with Obedience not verses. Evil shows twice in my nation and it takes courage and faith with acceptance that death is not as important as the Good to fight against Evil and salvation is the same.

I loved hearing your journey. I’m a cradle Catholic, but didn’t take my faith seriously growing up. When I got into my college years I had my doubts and fell away. Like you following children, I felt called to give them a Christian upbringing so they could make their decision as the grew older. I wanted to find a Bible preaching Church. Started to dig into the Bible, and different Protestant Churches and could not decide who had the best interpretation. Stumbled upon the Council of Hippo and the early church. The more I searched my doubts, after searching for answers I saw the truth in the Catholic Church. The history, the traditions, the teachings, the Bible, the theology was absolutely overwhelming. So thankful God brought me back into the Church and has given me the grace to continue to pursue and learn this beautiful Faith

Sadly, at age 20 --- I left the Catholic Church and embraced the Church of Christ. In that group for 11 active years. Cut to the chase: came back to the Catholic Church in 1991. @@tony1685 I learned long ago the hard way that there is what we THINK scripture proves and what scripture actually proves -- they're different! Then there is the silence of the scriptures -- Church of Christ people don't know what to do with that, other than to squabble and throw stones. And yes I can say that -- I was Church of Christ from 1985 to 2021. Apparently unlike you, I have done my time studying Catholic -- not Protestant -- apologetics and obviously I'm quite comfortable with the scriptural basis for the Catholic faith. Oh and I have ample time studying the Protestant apologetics as well. Unfortunately they use a lot of straw man arguments against the Catholics. Here's a better idea: listen to what Catholic apologeticists say about the Catholic faith, NOT what Protestant apologeticists say about the Catholic faith. THERE is where the real learning begins.

@@tony1685 what I say about these things is what I always say when people come out of the woodwork wanting to shred my Catholic faith: I DID my homework and I will accept no more assignments. I had not the slightest interest in becoming a Catholic when I did my homework -- I went into that apologetics material seeking to wage war against the Catholic Church. But being an honest man confronted with the facts, I had to change. I made my choice -- and it's the best thing that ever happened to me, after my baptism. There are writers out there who can do a far better job explaining things than I can. But every single one of your issues and problems with Catholicism is addressed by Karl Keating in his book, "Catholicism and Fundamentalism". And no, the Catholic church is NOT the "Babylon" mentioned in Revelation. That's in there too. So since you like homework assignments, there's one for you. Me, my mind is made up and I don't care to engage in endless debates with people who are unwilling to change, no matter what is presented. Good day, sir.

This is basically what I am going though right now. I am moving back to the States from Europe and plan to go though RICA when I find a parish. I am nervous to say the least. Nobody knows at all. I too came from CoC, but my family is split up. My dads side are baptist, and my moms are CoC, except my maternal grandfather was Catholic. My great aunt is the only living relative I know that is Catholic. I am nervous and excited, someone scared of all the backlash that will come from this, and having to defend the faith. But I feel in my heart that it is home. What has been the hardest part of becoming Catholic for you? How has your spouse reacted? What was the hardest dogma to accept? How do other Catholics treat you as a convert? I believe I will miss the acapella signing and our hymns, some of our hymns are my favourite songs.

I didn't tell my family till I was almost done with RCIA. My Mom and Dad basically will not talk to me about it at all. Not that they have cut me off but if I bring up anything about becoming Catholic its radio silence, even to the point they will not talk to my kids about the Christmas pageant they where in. If I could recommend a book for you it would be "Christ in his fullness" by Bruce M. Sullivan he was a COC preacher before joining the Catholic Church. You will defiantly get backlash from your family, for me I doubled down on my bible studies to use scripture to show the Catholic faith, also using the first century church and what they believed. Especially since CoC believes they are just like the 1st century Church. My wife has been great she was shocked at first but quickly got on board. I think the hardest thing for me was the Pope. Once I was ok with that and I understood how Catholics really treat the Pope, and Papal Infallibility, everything after that was easy (well easier). The hardest part for us is the Annulment process my wife we married before me (20 years ago) for a short time, and we are in the final stages of that process before we can be confirmed. Catholics are fantastic they are fascinated with conversion stories. But I do miss those acapella hymns, I have sang those to my kids at bed time since they where babies. I have serval other videos going through various dogmas on my channel, I pray they help you. feel free to reach out if you have any questions at questforfaith20@gmail.com

I am a cradle Catholic. I joined the Born Again movement in my teens but soon reverted to Catholicism. It wasn't really hard for me to accept again Catholicism since it's the faith I grew up with until my faith was shaken in college. Almost a third of my block converted into the Evangelical Protestant "Born Again" movement and here in the Philippines, conversion to Protestantism isn't as hard as Protestants converting to Catholicism. Protestants stories of conversion to Catholicism is way different. You encounter a lot of difficulties within the family, circle of friends, community, and self. Here in my county converting into Protestantism is becoming a trend esp among celebrities, young professionals and teenagers and little to almost nobody bothers their conversion. Protestants becoming Catholic? _I couldn't imagine how hard it is for you to even think about calling Mary the mother of God. Huge respect bro. Mabuhay from the Philippines! 🇵🇭

Tabitha Thanks for the comment! Right now I have done videos on Eucharist, Mary and the Saints, History of the Bible, the Pope, 1st century church, Baptism, and Confession. I am just getting started and looking forward to do a lot more. I have finished RCIA, and I am waiting for my wife's annulment to go through (any day now) to official Join the Church. I have not attended a Latin Mass yet, but I really want to go to one. The closest Parish that has a Latin Mass is about hour away. one of these days soon I will go.

I was raised in the church of Christ too. I started attending another church in late 2012 when I was 32, the year my dad died suddenly. The pastor’s wife there was leading grief classes. That didn’t go over well with my mom and other members when I would miss Sunday morning worship. Eventually I stopped going to coC altogether and joined the community Bible church. I stayed with them for about 10 years. It was like a new world opened up and I became a theology nerd. 🙂 Present day, I had to move away from where I was living after hurricane ida a year and a half ago. I tried keeping up with going to church where I was attending but it was an hour away. I tried a couple churches in my new area but I didn’t go back. I think I was in mourning over having to move and didn’t want to have to find a new church. I also tried going to the coC in my area but I only went a few times. It’s only been the last few months that I’ve been open to the Catholic Church. I feel like they are my only option too. Tonight is my first RCIA class.🙏🏻

So awesome to hear! Start learning the faith now and don’t do like I did when I was young, “just went through the motions” One awesome thing about the Catholic Faith is it’s rich history and teachings. It’s definitely a life long journey. Try finding a catechism of the Catholic Church. It’s a summary of what the Church teaches written down in book form. Catholicism for Dummies is another good book for basics. And there are great teachers and apologists here on KZbin he break down almost every subject. By the time you are ready to enter RCIA and speak with the local Priest you will be able to help others understanding and embrace the Faith that much more!! God Bless 🙏🏼

hi.actually turah&bible were from god but they had been corrupted afterwards as a result god sent down quran upon prophet muhammed&god said i`ll preserved the quran thereby god had fulfilled ,let me show u friendly&honestly the truth,okee dokee.sheding the light on christianity to know the truth first of all there is no original bible the 4 main bible are contradicted to each other yet there is 1 quran but who is the writer of bible the answer is paul the jewish who hates jesus let us discuss about the significant event which is crucifixion why does your claimed god left his only son to crucify without any sin he had committed the disaster reached its uttermost when u found bible said on the tongue of jesus my god my god why do u forsaken me means jesus never crucified willingly have u an idea why do they crucify jesus because it`s a penalty of impure &particularly crucifixion because dindn`t touched the earth make it impured that what paul said jeasus get impure for us &see the authentic god what does said in quran chapter 3 verse 55 by the name of god the most gracious&most merciful , O Jesus, I will take you and raise you up to me, and purify you from those who disbelieve, and He will place those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection, then to Me is your return, so I will judge between you regarding that in which you differed,the authentic god rose jesus to the sky before they kill him in addition he had purified him from a false accusation that he is impure,let alone of many verses in the bible incites to violence thus u found the largest massacres had happened in history the ww1&2 christian countries against christian countries 100 millions had been killed not to mention the sex stories in the bible nay u never found a single sex word in quran,don`t take it in personal just i clarify u the plain truth,bible said woman when she during the menstruation she gets impure &any thing she would touched it will be impure &should stay at her room till had done of it don`t see that an insulting to woman &how does the claimed god in bible said so he demeans& underrates his own creatures, yet islam honored the woman &she has a complete chapter its name women show us her rights,let us look at modern medicine which refutes the bible, ovulalation happens every 28 days from overy next month from other ovary when fertilization fails to happen mestrual bleading happens it always stops when a female gets pregnant ,menstrual cycle ovulation the female genital system consists of one uterus to overuse vagine& externat genital organs ,,the blood during menstruation could cause diseases to spread and that’s why a woman during her menstruation needed to isolate so the blood would not be passed around to other people And diseases not be spread that`s what god said in quran and they ask you about menstruation say, isolate women don't come near them untill they get purified verse 222 chapter 2,why there are priests,pastors&nuns reverted daily to islam,yet u never a muslim clergy left islam as per western media said that islam is the fastest growing religion in the world,i didn`t like to push islam onto u god said no compulsion in religion verse 256 chapter 2,figure it out then make up your mind kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnaumKuQl6t6lc0

Welcome home! I had a crisis of faith in the early 1990s. I started going to a non denominational church that was very Calvinist. The pastor told me that around the year 1000 the Catholic Church no longer existed. I told my husband. My husband had a very good Catholic education. He had attended a very faithful Catholic school in England. He knew church history very well and suggested that I do my own research. My husband was very patient with me during this time. He was disappointed that I had left the Catholic Church. It took me 6 months of doing research. I read the book series called The Faith Of The Early Fathers by Jurgens. I went back to the Catholic Church. You mentioned how Protestant Church change their doctrine. Here’s an example that I’ve come across. I had attended a Bible Study at my Catholic parish in the 1990s. There were several Episcopalian ladies who would join us in the summer when their church didn’t have Bible study. They would always say how similar the Catholic and Episcopalian churches were. They felt at home at our women’s Bible study group. Well, fast forward to 2021. I went on the Website of a local Episcopalian Church. (Out of curiosity to see if this church was requiring face masks). On this Episcopal website was their statement of faith. They said that they support LGBTQ and Gay marriage. They are (inclusive). I was and am really saddened, shocked at how destroyed the Episcopal Church is.

One of the questions that burned in my mind was, "if you call yourself a True Bible-Based Fundamentalist Christian, ... then why do you disregard certain Passages from Sacred Scripture as if they are without meaning?". That was one of the biggest things that led me towards converting to that particular Faith Denomination. But now I have fallen away from the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Christian Church,...partly because I realize now that the Church is in dire need of a new Reformation Movement. Now I am hoping to someday Convert to Holy Orthodoxy. Long story as to why.

Issue with the leviticus line about gay sex is that there have been interpretation that it was a simplified rewrite that originally condoned pedophilia rather than homosexuality. The texts were originally in Hebrew and our current Bible is a translation of that. The issue with translating often is that dialog amd context tend to differ depending on a culture and words we see may have entirely different meanings or context in other languages depending on how their sentence is structured. What creates this theory is the fact that the original Hebrew text for what we read as lay with or bed used a Hebrew word that was different from the usual phrases that would translate to it so it's speculated that the word gave a different context to the sentence than what the direct translation had been inferred as.

The Canon of Scripture was a huge reason I became Catholic as well!
@normarohadfox5832
@normarohadfox5832 2 жыл бұрын
We must understand the canon law is NOWHERE spoken of in the New Testament. It was not given to the apostles and/or taught in the 1st century church. It came from ordinary men on how they wanted the ‘Catholic’ faith to be run but all anyone has to do is look to the scriptures, look to what the apostles taught and understand 2 Tim 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. It states ALL scripture (in the Bible) can teach us what is right, what is wrong (reproof) how to get right (correction) and how to stay right (training in righteousness). If those on the day of Pentacost were told how to be saved why do we look to men when we just need to read God!s word and His word only. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism! The faith is the Christian faith we can read about in the Bible and the baptism is the one we can read about how those who asked what they needed to do to be saved. Babies cannot ask, cannot understand. They are safe till they come to an age of accountability. The sins of the forefathers are not on them. I pray you will read the Bible and not rely on men. Ask for book, chapter and verse in everything. 🙏🏼
