@Brispy Z34 guess I wasn’t very clear in my initial comment way more than $5k for a GOOD turbo SETUP. If you push more than 6-7 psi you will blow everything to hell in these 3.8’s, you need to ATLEAST reduce the compression and SHOULD get new rods, crank, valves, head studs and SLEEVES if you want your turbo setup to get you real gains and not send a rod through the hood. Cheap power is short lived power. Realistically for a reliable gen coupe turbo $7-10k if you do everything yourself, which you can’t (balancing the crank specifically) probably $12-15k for someone else to do it. Then the other $5k you’ll need for supporting mods to the chassis and drivetrain. But if he wants to run 6 psi and have it be a baby boost setup more power to him 🤷🏽♀️.

If 400 hp is your goal then the 2.0 is the way 2 go. Far less expensive 2 get 2 those hp numbers. But over 400 rear wheel hp is really pushing it. New turbo, n tune n fuel system will get u about 400 hp at the crank which is good. However 4 just over $5000 u can turbo the 3.8 kit n work n get 500 hp. So the idea that $5500 or so in both n the 2.0 is faster is wrong. But 4 just $1500-$2k or so u can get about 400hp from your 2.0. So if 400hp is your goal which in my opinion is enough hp 4 a light car
