I ordered a 2SS 1LE feb 27th ,the biggest problem was finding a dealer with an allocation, but i finally did and cant wait,i was also buying a scatpack but the prices have jumped to Hellcat pricing pre 2021 ,my car was $53,490 shadow grey red seatbelts, red calipers ,all the tech u mentioned except pdr and a tremec 6 speed ,i also love how those massive rear tires are tucked under the wheel well with no fender flares like Dodge, but the funniest thing is I LOVE HELLCATS Lmao ,im gonna hit the subscribe, u seem like a cool 😎 cat

Welcome to the Camaro fam bro! I’ve had my 6th Gen Camaro SS since 2017 and I love it. I went through the same comparison as you between the usual Mustang, Camaro, and Charger/Challenger. I really wanted a manual so it was eventually between the Mustang and Camaro. I test drove both and the Camaro felt more raw when I was behind the drivers seat compared to the Mustang which felt more like a cruiser. Either way, best decision ever. The manual transmission is 1000% smooth as butter and it’s a fun ass car to drive

Welcome to the 6.2 Familia homie! I was also torn between getting a Charger Snackpack or the Chevy SS. I needed a sedan to have space for my kids but also still wanted a fun car. As much as I love the body style of the Charger....everybody and their cousin has one. I love being different...so I ended up getting the Chevy SS sedan. Comes with so many bells whistles but...most importantly....the LS3 6.2 motor. I know I made the right choice. You won't be disappointed homie! Enjoy!

Look into finding a 2022 if you can, you’ll save several thousand dollars since they raised the price in 2023. That’s what I did, but I had to go out of state to find a Red Hot 2SS 1LE with the 6-speed. Rapid Blue was my 2nd choice, but I thought that Ford did that color better on my Focus RS since they used a pearl quad-coat. Plus I like that the red paint matches the brake calipers.

Love mine! 2021 2ss 1LE all Black. Manual of course! Best bang for the buck out there. I owned a 21-challenger scat pack widebody manual and I loved that car, sometimes wish I still had it because I just love the true muscle car look and feel but the Camaro is absolutely superior in every performance category. They are even in a straight line IF you can get the scat to hook up and that is really hard to do. My cousin owns a Mustang GT pp1 and it's really nice but the 1le is superior to it as well.

@@KickinItWithQ SS 1le is the best track car easily. You have to get the new Mach 1 with the track package to equal the SS 1le. This is verified in other race videos. I drove my cousins PP1 and its real nice and fast but doesn't have quite the handling my Camaro does. The Scat is just different, for the street it handles good and it's fast and cool looking but not a track car to set any fast times with. Wish I could afford ALL of them! I'm a car fan

My number one choice was the Challenger but issues with Cam destroying engine. Mustang like you said transmission isn't great. Only one left is the Camaro great shifter grade engine Dynamics also.

Great review! I test drove a 2SS and so far after driving a Mustang GT 10speed, and ScatPack the Camaro overall has better balance and weight advantages. But to say the Camaro torque is great and almost just as much as a scat it’s a win win. Mustangs are high revving engines feel like those have to be tracked just to experience the fun factor in it

Shifter in the hellcat kinda sucked. Mines was a 2016. I agree with you on just going for it! I had a mustang GT and the GT350. I didn’t have issues with the trans but I drive like a granny lol. A lot of people say it’s trash like you said. The GT350 has the same trans as the Camaro. It’s fun but I personally like torque in high horsepower cars. You and Race Car Friends got me interested in trucks now 😆

I have not really tested this but I think in a roll race the manual wins. Mainly because I can rev my RPM's where I want for instant acceleration and get the jump on an auto. Now off the line the AUTO wins for sure.

Plus I'm gonna video the jlt cold air intake installed plus dyno before and after. Man, this thing is a blast and the attention it gets is unreal. I have a 65gt mustang and a 66 mustang and those get a lot of attention as well. Love my cars, lol.

Ford and GM developed that transmission together, so it’s in both cars. If you do buy a Mustang you pretty much have to get the 10-speed since the Getrag 6-speed sucks. You have to step up to the Mach 1 to get a Tremec.

Had both. I guess if I could do it over I would do the scat widebody with the shaker package, now that would be sweet but the camaro is just such an awesome performance car. The handling on it is ridiculous. I can run the track with Porsches, vettes etc NO PROBLEM!

I’ve owned a Charger SRT and now own a 2SS 1LE 6-speed Camaro. Both are great cars, but very different. I’d say the Charger was far more roomy, comfortable, the better road trip car, and the better daily driver. It’s really a muscle car. The SS 1LE is more on edge, handles like a sports car, and is a car that enjoys being driven hard. If you are into cruising, drag racing, roll racing or that sort of stuff- get the Mopar. If you are into ultimate performance, autox, track days, canyon carving, etc.- get the SS 1LE. Both are great.

I think SS is better over as far as performance but Chargers are great if you have a family. Those 10 speed mustangs are awesome with headers and E85 but SS is just as good. The scats don’t do well with mods. They’re pretty much from factory the best.

I’ve owned both a Charger SRT and now own the SS 1LE. They are both awesome but very different. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want the ultimate performance and handling, get the SS 1LE. If you want the muscle car that’s a more comfortable cruiser and daily driver, stick to the Mopar.

Got a 2018 1le when they came out owns it for 3 years blows the engine 2 time blowing pistons and engine belt making noise I let it go 3 years later with 36k miles …. Nice car it drive amazing but maybe you never got to go as crazy as I when with it so you should be good

Both cars use a Tremec 6-speed. The Mach-1 is $10K more and the Camaro has the superior Alpha platform. I went from a Focus RS (so I’m not a Ford hater) to the 2SS 1LE 6-speed. I was interested in the Mach-1, but you cannot justify the extra cost, it’s flat-out overpriced compared to the 1LE.
