Hi Marina. I too have triple negative, HER2, stage 1 cancer with no metastasis. I was undergoing 12 rounds of Carbo & Taxol infusions, but now there is a shortage of Carbo & my doctor has ordered that they stop providing me with it. In total, I was able to receive 6 infusions containing said medication. This has made me very depressed, anxious and scared. My Oncologist said that there was an alternative medication but he doesn't want to give it to me because it could have negative effects on me due to my age. My son died of prostate cancer in 2017, right in front of me. It was a painful way to go. My comment has nothing to do with your video, but I needed to talk. I live alone & have no one to share my pain with. Thank you for allowing me to post. Best of luck. Gilda Bodine, Miami, Florida.

Hi Gilda, I heard about the shortage. I’m so sorry for this! I can’t imagine the stress of your treatment being delayed or changed due to this life saving chemo. I don’t have answers either but I pray God finds a way for all those effected by the shortage of Carboplatin. 🙏🏼❤️

Love your vlogs. I am 76 and was diagnosed with invasive ductal a year ago. Had surgery and started chemo then biopsy confirmed mets to bone. Unrelated cancer found in ureter and had nephrectomy/hysterectomy in December. Currently on Ibrance and Letrozole and bone cancer seems to be stable. I am grateful for every day. I find your videos very inspiring. You are providing a wonderful service that is helping many. Thank you!♥️

Hi! Yes, thank you for sharing and agreeing! It’s hard to want to start chemo but it can beat our cancer. I believe in changing other things like diet and exercise too, but I want to be around a long time. So…do what you have to do! 🙏🏼❤️ We did it!

Thanks for all the positivity and tips. I am a 20 year cervical cancer survivor and now in the process of getting ready for a mastectomy for DCIS. I didn't have this positive support 20 years ago and I have to say your videos inspire me to be confident and face this like a warrior. I run and exercise regularly and enjoy watching your care tips for health. I recently donated to your mom's Go Fund Me. I hope she is well and staying strong.

Hi Marina, thank you for your channel and positive vibes. It’s difficult for me to be positive during this time, but your videos remind me to try. I just had my bilateral masectomy on 3/24, and am now recovering. Knowing you and others have gone through this, helps me push through too 💜 thank you

I am so happy that you have recovered so well after the cancer ordeal you went through 2X! You are such an inspiration to this gal who was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and has completed four of six rounds of R-CHOP chemo. I am happy to say that my PET CT scan I had after three rounds of chemo revealed that rhe chemo is working 😊. I am hoping these next two rounds knock the cancer out of the ball park for a home run ❤. I am taking the chemo well with hardly any side effects except a little constipation that resolves a few days after an infusion and wonky sleep. Good thing I am off work and can rest when I need to 😊. Thank you for your inspiration! ❤

Hi Marina! I agree 100% that finding the right doctor and team is key. I also had a fabulous oncology team, surgeon and radiation team and I couldn’t be more blessed. If your not feeling it with a particular doctor, get another opinion, but communication and honesty is key so that everyone is on the same page. Lots of love to everyone going through this journey. ❤

I too went for a third consult. I finally went to a Breast Cancer Oncologist in Chicago at RUSH Hospital.I had a bilateral mastectomy after my biopsy. The diagnoses was Triple Negative Cancer. I was lucky my cancer did not spread to my lymph nodes. I will be starting my chemo therapy very soon. Wishing you all the best my pink sister! 💕🌸🌸🌸

Hi Marina My spouse was diagnosed by cancer after 6 months of being married which was removed surgically after that we were jut on monthly scanning marker but just few days back we have done CTCE of whole body and a lymph node appeared of 2.3cm 1 of our doctor suggested for 3 rounds chemo on which my spouse is concerned about fertility issues. What would you suggest in that scenario. Thanks

The information you share is fantastic. Thank you. I will be going for my first mamogram (beginning of April) after completing chemo last summer, radiation therapy last October. I'm happy that I went the chemo, radiation therapy route. Going through the treatments, I focused on what I was doing each day. Trying not to look into the future. I think I would have gone crazy if I looked ahead at all the treatments to still come. I love humor. It's the best medicine for the soul. Sure, I lost the hair on my head (among other places). I would tell people, "At least I don't have to shave my legs," lol. Which was true. I think it's better if one finds the positive in any situation. Is it April 3rd yet? 😉

Glad to see you’re doing well! One question: I hate needles! Should I be anxious about getting a port? I’m losing sleep just thinking about it! 😢
@MarinaBlackford
@MarinaBlackford 8 ай бұрын
Thank you! I do too! I didn’t mind having the port versus getting an IV all the time. I think the port is very quick to access, and the needle is not very big compared to the one that they do for IV. I would consider the port if you have to have a lot of infusions or blood drawn.
