Kelly, your Kayak vids have really caught my attention! I've been wanting to get back into fishing for quite some time. A Kayak similar to the one you have seems to be perfect for what I am looking at. If your gone do van life you should look in to getting a packraft. They basically like inflatable kayaks but when there not aired up they roll up in to the size of roll of paper towels or a sleeping bag. They can get kind of expensive but if your gone do van life its much more compact easy to fit in to a van then a regular Kayak. Also you can actually fit this on to a backpack along with all your camping gear. So if you wanted to hike your way up river on a trail and then paddle back down you can. If your interested in possible doing this look in to alpacka packrafts or Kokopelli those are top two brands in the US. Just something to think about any way.

thank you ! iv been looking in to cresent kayaks! right now im just starting out and thought i had bought what would be good for all i want to do with out spending to much but after being on the water just a few times i know i was wrong so really wanting to up grade! what i got was an 2 Ozark trail angler 10 and its my first ever kayaks i think they are nice for newbies like my sister and i or smaller kids but we realize they are just not going to work for us like we wanted! also its nice to see a girl doing this cuz most are men and they are always like oh this is a small light kayak and throw it over their shoulder and its like 75lb and im like oh hell no im 5,3 there is no way i can do that lol heck iv got a jeep wranger and i cant even get my 44 pound kayaks up there with out help im just to short and i have to us a step stool to do the straps my sister is a little taller then me and she cant do it alone either lol but we are learning and getting better at it lol

Nice video. I just sold my 80 lb kayak for an UL. Can’t wait to get it. If I could make one suggestion... use cinch straps instead of ratchet straps. Especially on hot days. It’s too easy to warp or crack a kayak with the power of a ratchet strap.

Blinderb yes I have some of those straps too. If I use the ratchet straps I make sure it’s not too hot and I park in the shade! I saw a video on the crescent Facebook page of the damage some ratchet straps did to this one woman’s kayak!

Deff recommend getting a pair of quality cam straps. Id say either NRS or Yakattack. There both awesome straps but you cant get them tight enough to hurt the hull. Great video girl. Awesome

I got stranded at Cow Shoals and spent the night on an island full of bugs. The water started rising from the dam at Heber Springs and caught me. I went head over keister down river and made it to the other shore. The horn could not be heard that far downstream. I waded back out at six the next morning. Glad to be alive. I was trout fishing with chest waders.

We picked up a pair she got the ultra I got the light. We're both love to fish. There both great floats. However if you're a bigger guy I would recommend getting the 12 ft light tackle. Crescent makes the absolute best floats hovering around the $1,000 mark.

do not use ratchet straps, they can deform your kayak, especially on hot days, use cam straps instead, pull as tight as you want. Much better option.
