Texas is a whole other country. :) You should be referring to *added* HP instead of total HP, because every application is going to be different. Also, the Procharger stuff generally only has brackets to mount the head unit on the driver's side of the motor. If placement is critical, someone may only be able to use the Vortec/Paxton. I'm currently considering a Vortec/Paxton to put on my Holley Sniper EFI-equipped 427 Windsor stroker (2012 Mustang). I'm currently making 475 (or more?) to the wheels, so I'm curious to know how much increase I'm going to get. Even if it's just 200hp, that would be a huge jump. I'll be making more power than a 2014 GT500.

Referring to added HP is irrelevant bc that will very depending on your setup. If you have a stroked and built motor you can gain way more than just 200HP. I honestly would just turbo the car with your setup.

@@EarsXBL It's not even whp that determines the limit it's torque. 450-ish tq max for a 3-valve. I'm not exactly sure what the torque limit for a 2-valve is but I'm willing to bet it's less than a 3v.

@@cali2468 it's no different for any of the nonforged motors. Doesn't matter if it's 2v, 3v, 4v. Keep it to 450rwtq with a good tune and you're fine.

400 is safe, the crank is rated for 500. 400 wheel is probably 450ish crank, so you're under. Anything higher and you must be interested in engine rebuilding.

If you’re losing 4 or 5 psi through your intercooler YOU HAVE A HOLE SOMEWHERE! That’s an insane amount of pressure loss to think it’s normal.

No that’s not how that works at all, your loosing boost through the intercooler because the charge air is cooler, cooler air=denser air, denser air=less restriction, less restriction=less boost with same if not more hp especially if your pushing anything around 20psi

you can drop the boost pressure with meth injection, larger throttle body, higher cfm than stock flow heads, blower cam etc

⁠you should NOT be losing that boost unless there’s an issue. If you’re saying if you make 24psi but the manifold sees 20psi it’s normal you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, that’s 20%. Cooler air = more boost in most supercharged applications. There is an issue most definitely.

I just bought a 94 cobra with v1 supercharger. But it runs hot. On the normal temp gage it's usually sits at the letter M and A. So a intercooler would help me keep it a lot cooler? Can you send me a link to what I would need? I'd really appreciate that!

An intercooler has NO EFFECT on the temperature of the motor. It only cools the air going into the motor. That being said getting one won’t hurt and always try and get the air filter in an area that gets cooler air.

The Procharger kit is self contained. Meaning you don’t have to tap into the oil pan like with the vortech blowers. That’s why the higher price is worth it for me.
