2003 Mach 1 Mustang Supercharger Dyno (Vortech at Brenspeed) Automatic Car with Headers 25,000 miles

This is one sweet Mach 1. So a little research said 20% of these cars were auto cars in 2003. We added a Vortech Supercharger on 93 octane for about 7 psi of boost. This really wakes up the already sweet 4.6L 4 Valve engine. Need an install quote? Email [e-mail]

Those are good safe numbers. Auto Machs were cast cranks and all mach1’s had weak rods and pistons unlike terminators. So @450 wheel with a good tune is “safe.” Still have my original 03 5-Speed Mach1. Love these cars

Really? I thought it was the opposite for the Mach 1. I thought the STOCK Mach 1 had a more stable suspension, axle, pistons, Than the Stock 03/04 Cobra?

@@StayHydrated-wd5ic the Mach has cast pistons and powdered cast rods. Terminators have fully forged rotating assemblies. Mach also had 28 spline axles that as with all Fox stick axle cars were saddled with. Weak link if you are running sticky tires. Suspensions were otherwise comparable from a strength/durability perspective. The Terminator IRS had its own challenges because it was designed using the same pick up points as the stick axle. Oh my!!! That has been my fav Stang that I owned, and the one I shouldn’t have let go. Built it with my son when he was little, hit some car shows with it, won one. Had Magnaflows, XPipe, upper and lower control arms, Steeda shifter, Eibach suspension, subframe connectors, intake and tune. Made 310/325 at the wheels. And it was Azure Blue like this one. 🇺🇸👍🦅💪

Putting on a D-1X Procharger kit on my '04 Mach 1 very soon. Rebuilding the engine/transmission and adding fuel system before boosting the car first though. Looking to turn it all the way up!

I’m pretty sure i commented and asked about possible help with an Eaton swap and or tune, you told me you were getting away from 4.6 mods and doing less new edge stuff. I’m sure the conversation is on here. Since then my buddy’s dad brought his terminator and I’ve seen at least two videos on new edge cars. I’m not shitty it’s just what I remember you saying.

We mod 4.6 3V weekly, and yes still do new edge but they are in limited qty on the volume that comes here vs 05 and newer.

$33k was a dealer mark up. They were all extremely close to $29,500 brand new. I was obsessed with the car when it came out. So much so that I bought one a few years ago. Also the factory numbers are wrong. They made 332hp and 355trq at the crank

Correct; That was a mark up. I waited almost a year and got lucky while waiting in the show room, servicing my wife's then F150 in 2003. '03 Grabber Blue 5/speed sitting in the show room for 7 months. I asked why, response was; " by accident, well we do have a $3,000 rebate on this GT".. I signed for $26,875... 2023 and I still have it w/33,000 miles.. Love this thing...😊 ** PS; they called me 5 days later saying they made a mistake. I said Thanks..

How much more labor intensive is this install with the air to water intercooler and the battery relocation vs. a Procharger with the air to air front intercooler and no battery relocation? Trying to decide whether the less expensive Vortech savings goes away with added labor.

Its a few hundred more from an install stand point. If you were coming here for the install as far as the Mach 1 goes we only have tunes for the Vortech kit and do not support Procharger on that year Mach 1. Thanks!

Would 400whp be safe on a 130K 4v? looking at an 04. Car was never raced and is really clean.

If it's in good mechanical condition and you continue to maintain it its fine. You can make well over 400 easily. ABOUT 10 psi is usually considered safe with a good tune and good fuel. With a 4v that's easily over 400 rwhp ecsp if you have headers and full exhaust.

My 3v is making over 500rwhp on the stock bottom end for over a year now and I beat on it regularly. Fbo cams gears and 150 shot. Bout to put a 2.1l Kenne bell on my stock bottom end 2v. Going to try and make around 450-500rwhp with it

I am more comfortable 500 rwhp on a 3V only because I have prob done hundreds if not over a thousand like that in the last 17 years since the 3V came out in late 2004. So statistically I can't really say except for what I have experienced and I am super comfortable at 500/450 on a 3V.

My 04 automatic stock longblock 12psi Vortech V1 S Mach has been over 500rwhp since 2018 and on stock exhaust manifolds. 460rwhp back in 2016.

I think the old non terminator 4v like in the Mach is good to about 500ish if running a centrifugal or turbo especially turbo those have power come in more gradually maybe little less of a strain on the stock rods which we all know are the weak point on them.
