I’ve done mobile and shop/at-home work, they each have their pros and cons. For longer jobs like paint correction & coatings I almost always need it dropped off. I have specific lighting set up in my garage to allow me to perform the job well and I don’t trust the dim lighting in someone’s garage with one light bulb or have to pack a bunch of shop lights to see everything properly

I personally don't like to move my clients around. I have done that in the past, but sometimes it can make them feel less valued as a client. I live in the middle of like 5 counties and I service all the areas some more than others.. but I charge a travel fee when leaving my county if going residential. Unless they're getting more than 1 vehicle or if they're getting a more expensive detail. Which I let them know and it's all on my pricing on my page. It's no charge when going to a place of business ( home office doesn't count ).
@topstardetailing22 күн бұрын
@@TouchstoneMPWD I usually wont move my clients around unless they’re a maintenance client and they are pretty flexible with their appointments. Yeah I don’t charge a travel fee unless it’s out of my service area which is a 25 mile radius pretty much covers all of the Vegas and surrounding areas.

Great video as always. I'm in South Georgia and I have several ppl that have really bad road grime and even dirt dust caked onto the vehicle. When I get those type of vehicles I use Dawn Platinum mixed with my P&S Pearl to help break all that stuff off. And on the bottom 6 inches of the vehicle where it's normally the worst, I use an APC first then I'll foam it down then rinse it all off before I wash. Then once it's finished I'll add a spray wax to add a lil bit of protection to the paint.

Good video! The wonder wafers head quarters is down the street from my house near Ft worth Texas. I don’t use them however. I usually ask the customer if they want an air freshener and if they do I place half a bio bomb air freshener under their seat. They cost more but they last considerably longer and I think they smell better. I just charge accordingly to cover the cost.
@topstardetailingАй бұрын
Thank you my friend! Good input on the bio bombs...I usually keep a couple of those on hand for the cars with heavy odors, but most of mine are in pretty good shape.

Thank You my friend! It's difficult using pop up tents here because being in the high desert we can get really strong wind gusts out of nowhere... you need a significant amount of weight to anchor it down to avoid it potentially being blown into someone's vehicle.

Hey bro, I need help with the last piece of equipment to get me mobile. Generator, I’ve been searching for info but barely find exact answers. Some say 2000 watt is enough, some say 5000 +.
