FFD, that thing is bigger than the luggage I take with me for a weekend trip somewhere; it looks big on your six-foot-a-million frame‼ Sling packs are AWESOME, after moving through the hip pack, lanyard, and vest phases (yeah, we all need to figure out and fish what works for each of us...) I personally remove my dry fly boxes, floatant, etc. during the winter months, so I'm not carrying what I won't use for the day. ☮ from North Idaho.

I love my sling pack. I bought the Orvis sling pack because it is a bit smaller and was on sale. But, now I understand sling packs. I will never go back.

They are pretty great for sure. Same, I'll never use anything else (unless I'm back-packing in)

I love my hip pack and have a sling pack that I got for a Christmas Island trip and haven't used since. After my Idaho trout trip last summer the sling pack is definitely getting used on long hike and wade trips from here on. It is just so much easier to pack water, lunch, and extra gear in the sling and way more user friendly than a backpack.

I have always used a chest pack, but I finally found the one I wanted but sometimes its too big and I can see my feet. I have a Fishpond sling pack to try out but I have my eye on the Simms free stone. This has been my biggest task lately, finding the right pack for all my shit LOL. Thanks for the great view of the Freestone!

Finding the right pack can be a tough task, but once you find the one, it makes all the difference!

Fishpond has some awesome packs, I just got the guide hip pack. The verdict is still out on it. It’s big and holds all my stuff, the issue is getting these things setup so that they work for the way you fish. Thanks

I think he meant Fly Agra….but maybe not. When the wings on your dry fly don’t stand straight up that’s erectile dysfunction.
