The reason for Depression and Anxiety are simple... they are common because of our materialistic lives. We need to understand that we are not just material beings we have soul as well... so the mistake people are making is we are only taking care for our body like eating, sleeping, exercise, lifestyle etc and work just to achieve good lifestyle n fame etc... we don't do anything for our soul which is the essence of our lives... disease n hunger etc indicate our materialistic needs while Depression and Anxiety shows our soul is unwell... nothing will ease it until you fulfill the needs of soul just as u work for ur body needs. The needs of soul is to enhance spirituality... its to strengthen the connection with Allah. And to continue the struggle to achieve the excellence in what we humans are meant for. Thats the reason why many so called successful people go for therapies because they are unhappy and depressed.
