That’s a good story. Part of the problem, in regards to, interracial relationships, is when you have blacks or whites who grow up in all black or white community. I've never had a problem with interracial relationships, even though I've never been in one. The issue I had was the fetishism of it, and the stereotypes negative or positive the person assumed of their partner. ...I'm a product of this interracial hate. I got married when I was 18 years old to a black guy who I loved very much, I mean I married him right? Well, after ten years of marriage and two kids...we divorced. Why? Too many black people ganged up on us about our marriage, including his mother. I remember when he called his mother to tell her he was getting married, I was nervous...he was nervous...mixed with excitement..First thing out of her mouth......Is she pregnant? No....Second Question....Is she white? Next thing I know, my soon to be husband and future mother in law were in a all out fight. ...That was my introduction to interracial hatred and like I said, we lasted ten years but got divorced because he told me, he just couldn't anymore. I mean, even with the birth of both our sons....I had to get DNA tests to prove (not to him) but to his family that they were in fact his kids since they came out (skin) as white as me even though they both have black facial features and natural fro textured hair. That isn't even the worse his family and extended family put us through. ...I moved on and married a wonderful Japanese man. We're getting ready to celebrate our 18th anniversary. So I don't regret anything, I love my husband deeply and my children love him deeply. My ex-husband however didn't move on well. He's living the life his family wants, and tells me all the time how much he can't stand his lady but since they got a kid together, he's trapped and too old to start over. He steps out on her all the time, or so says a few friends we still both share from when we were together. Its so sad that he couldn't find happiness that I think he deserves. ...All of this drama, the heartbreak, breaking up of a family.........all because people had a problem with a white girl and a black guy got married.
