I really relate to this! I am on my third attempt at the UCAT now, and the last time i took it i actually did worse than the previous time and i think its because I took the same attitude that you are talking about in this video (if i dont try hard it wont matter if i fail).

I’m in the exact same position in NZ! It’s so much harder online than the normal process of examinations. So happy that it’s going back to normal in our second semester. But I 100% agree with you!

Sat mine this summer and I felt exactly the same way as you did towards the test. Even tho I got slightly above average and I’ve sent my application off I still hate the thought of the exam. I mean I’m here on a ucat vid when I should be interview prepping. I got lucky in the sense that I knew people who had applied already and they gave me good UCAT prep advice. I just wish I enjoyed the process a bit more and had a healthier outlook towards the exam to be honest.

UCAT is definitely an important part of the medical application process - evidence has showed that candidates with a good score will perform better on their degree but not necessarily produce better doctors. Good luck.

I'm a neuroscience student at university of birmingham also. I want to apply for post-grad med this year and Uni of Birmingham is my first choice. I'm 2 weeks away and I'm so nervous, I haven't done enough revision because of other deadlines. I'm going to binge watch your videos and eventually reach out to you as you really know your stuff!!
