Difference is that the current model 3 had a 6 year run so the new revamp will likely also have a similar shelf run. If thats the case and the highland is due in a couple months. Id argue its very valid reason to wait. Its not the same as a phone that gets a new refresh every year

Not waiting either , leasing this version with full maintenance for 4 years. Working out £100 less/ month than SR highland , and more range and maintenance included which isnt on highland. No brainer! Thanks for the videos

My Model 3 Performance just got totaled, I got T-Boned. Tesla did message me to ask if I wanted to order a new one. I said I was waiting until the Performance Highland was coming out. They did tell me that they didn't know when it was being released so in a way I guess they did kind of confirm its exitance to me.

I canceled my model 3 order to wait to see what the 2024 model looks likes and range curious but not desperate I totally understand your view and definitely appreciate it.

A few things. A Tesla sales rep isn't going to be tell you a new car is coming out because their current goal is to get rid of current inventory. There is concrete evidence for the new Tesla coming from factory worker. That said there is some click bait out there. The value of the new car can go down if Elon is being honest about reducing the base price of the 2024 Model 3. He is known for his exaggerations. I'm hard pressed to believe the 29k figure. Tesla exaggerates it's range, any of us who own one should acknowledge that, so an increase in base range would be worth the wait. The "rumored" percentage with the new battery test shows an increase of near 30 miles. That would put the base range at 300 miles which again is worth the wait .Phones aren't significant investments and more thought should be put into purchasing a car. Your comparing buying apples to buying a stove. I think the only thing I agree with is most Tesla update videos for the last few months have been click bait. There is very little information outside of production start dates, production numbers for the China factory and Model 3 changes and upgrades. There is no solid announcement, pre-order or sale dates. Even though September is the month for most tech announcements as it begins the quarter on a positive note. I would also caution the rumors on production would put most people on the wait list until sometime mid to late next year unless you can snipe a pre-order and that's if they start production in the US at the same rate as China (Already made a bot but I will put the finishing touches on when can preview what the link will look like). So the price of Tesla's will probably decrease more as demand for the new increases. Like any investment if the price is trending down it's not the best time to buy.

I was so relieved to see an exact video of showing model3 LR RWD(inventory stock). I ordered also the same in sweden and waiting for delivery. Anyway i have some questions on this model as i was thinking it has the same spec as LR AWD Does it have subwoofer behind or near rear seat? If not hows sound quality? Does this comes with floor mats? Does it comes with charging cable? Thanks for posting video and hope you post more.

IMO, you have to deal with at least 3 problems if you wait. 1. A new model always comes with a full of problems. Model 3 takes around 5 years to fix all problems such as: thin paint, exterior misalignment, wind/road noises, stiff suspension. The current version is the best. Model Y currently still has full complaints of hash suspension and booming noises, buffet noises. Highland wont be exception for sure. 2. Tesla aims to cut cost its cheap version to expand the market. Tesla in China said that Highland base model is around $28k which is 10k or 25% reduction from the current model. So far, some evidences confirmed that Tesla removed the ultrasonic sensors, reduced RAM in half, removed GPU in HW4. With that much cost reduction, a new Highland and a current M3 is like a 2024 Corolla and a 2023 Camry in a new condition. 3. Tesla confirmed that the reduction of tax credit is likely after Dec 31. You may lose the EV tax credit since the tax credit is based on the delivery date, not the order date. Also, the old model always comes with a big discount. Inventory M3s currently reduce up 5k in some areas. It will be more next months. IMO, waiting is not the best choice.

I am concerned that all launch models have a certain period of adaptation with failures. On some occasion I bought a MINI recently launched on the market and what I got was a lemon. That's what would stop me from buying the new model.

Already waiting for mine hopefully just 2 weeks (most exasperating 2 weeks :) ), same model as you in (Model 3 RWD LR) in Grey coming to Portugal, took it from 4 in Inventory soon. Could not resist to the prices drop , was thinking in waiting also for Highland new model, but then realized why wait if in say 5y or so more advancements will come again. Many thanks both , I think my mistake was having a performance for the 1st hr test drive then jumping straight into a SR , MOVING FROM 3.1seconds to 5.6 , been back today and the LR RWD was great & impressive , the LR AWD is the middle ground but an extra cost does not justify the price currently 4 week wait to it arrives which will take it to the new number plate release 1sept . I did push on in serious wet weather today and the traction coped very well , I was surprised how well it done ✅, I did notice the LR RWD came on Michelin primacy 4 tyres where the SR comes on the more sticky Michelin pilot sport 4 . What did you YOUR COME ON SIMON ? Thanks for the reply again both 😍

The Tesla S has looked the same since 2012, and one of the things that makes Tesla great is that they dont change the looks, they just keep them the same and update it, mine is black trim etc, but thats also cheaper to produce. In order to make a mass production like they do, unline other manufactorers - they dont change look every other year, they just make timeless designs. The only thing you should count on change is details, batteries etc. not the overall design.

Okay but I want to sell our 2021 M3 Long Range Dual Motor because it still has good value in it. But we want a model Y or another large EV. Because Tesla will build Model Y Juniper refresh at the end of 2024, it makes some sense to wait until then instead of buying the current model Y and it being outdated within 18 months or so. No?

@@DanglishReviews Yes it does feel like new and it looks like new but the car warranty has 2 years left and that is an incentive to sell it. Also if we get our price (I have an average of prices for sold M3 LR with very similar spec and kms), that would mean we would lose about 5k over 2 years! If I wait until Highland is out, it’ll be outdated by a refresh.
