Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on KZbin, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too.
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!

Anyone who has mocked you for falling on that “trail” should get their bike to your house and join you for that ride. It looks vicious and I’m sure most people would have trouble with that terrain.

I would not mock him for dropping but that is not actually difficult riding for a woods rider but he is also not a single track rider and is very remote anyone not cautious riding solo so remote is a fool Im pretty sure his issues were due to how high his luggage is. @@BFTEgodswarrio5939 I will take that as you do not have any actual experience... If he ran saddle bags to bring the weight down lower and lightened the load on the front wheel his ride would have been 10 times easier for him. The higher the weight is the more it will push you around. He did fairly well but little things like lowering the height of the weight are so huge. And yes every woods rider falls I fell like 5 times yesterday riding flooded trails but I was not carrying gear ems were close survival russia ride was actually something I feell many adventure riders would watch because no one dose it and if they do its super rare they film it there is no way any ems were close possibly not available. I will be at an event next weekend where people will be riding loaded GS1200's through more aggressive stuff than that. I was just offering some insight hoping to make his travels safer and easier... The TW200 it probably the best suited most reliable machine he could have for what he is doing with it.

Thanks for the update Lars. Living in the Southern hemisphere, it seems amazing how many trees have fallen up there. Being a dry country, I guess out trees have much deeper roots and it takes a cyclone to take them down. Those bugs are crazy. I can deal with being covered in flies. I got to the point that I'd just let them crawl into my mouth and ears at one point in the bush. At least the bush flies didn't bite. March flies here (horse flies?) are a little rarer and nasty though. Looking forward to further updates.

I'm in Oregon lol I wear insulated canvas coveralls when riding in thick woods because you won't go fast but you will get speared. If you are not wearing coverage on your inside of legs and arms you will get stuck clean through - my friend wore his racing gear thinking it would protect him and when he did get hooked on a trail it ended up going around all the plates in his clothes and tearing out a few arteries in his legs and arms because it went through him several times in his soft parts. He was glad he didn't get speared in the stomach because it would have basically stabbed through his intestines as there is NO armor plating on the belly when you wear racing gear.

This looked rough, much respect. I learned this from a native man, grab a soft skinny tree branch about the length of your arm with alot of leaves, smack your left shoulder, then face, then right shoulder, like a horse tail. Works when you don't have any netting or bug spray. Once perfected you don't spend much energy and it works pretty good. 15:39 - to the rest of the shot behind your backpack looks pretty scary. Riding a dirt bike with that much gear packed on you, on terrain like that is not as easy as you made it look. Give yourself some credit sir. Thanks for the hard work in making this . Stay safe best of luck on everything.

Ive had years and years of riding trail bikes in the back country and I can say without fear of contradiction that Lars is a better bike rider than me. I'm hopeless. The only advice I can give is when riding over fallen logs is to put your thumbs on top of the hand grips not underneath. It feels a little awkward but it safes a broken thumb when the front wheel slides out on a log. I know this from experience.

Lars, first of all as with anyrhing, there will be people who challenge what you say. Second, at least you didn't have any mud to deal with! Lastly, if you keep a 2x2 inch piece of plywood with the dirt bike, you can use it under the kickstand for the dry, loose soil. It doesn't take up much space in your bags, and weighs nothing.

If you intend to do this often, would it help to find or make some manner of over-tank container for part of your water supply? It would get a fair bit of that weight inside the triangle. If not, maybe figure where you could clamp a couple sockets for a lightweight pole that could be set in place (or left mounted, depending on height and clearance) that would give you some leverage in helping right the motorcycle. When you're there it could be a handy hiking stick.

about your riding style Lars... You got home safely, that's all that matters. One gnarly dude I eventually found had been wedged in a tree crotch for 3 weeks. Missed a jump by that much. Another all I found was his right foot, laying next to his wrecked bike down a blind cliff, still in his boot. Both were expert riders but known for pushing things a bit too far sometimes. Personally I prefer a horse over a bike but even then great care is a must when deep into the bush. And the mosquitos etc around these parts are also fairly scarce. But its not terribly dry really due to an unusually long and wet spring, just very smokey with the smouldering wildfires all around us. 5 days of 40+ degrees and woompff, up it went. Much cooler now and the fires have died down substantially. Time for a fishing trip methinks.
