Leakage on flat roofs,I think depends on the skills of the fundi,why do I say this there are flat roofs built in Nairobi Ngara and Eastleigh areas that are still serviceable since pre independence.

For the potential developer; I understand that it takes soul searching and thoughts to reach consensus about the kind of roof you would wish to have on your property. To be precise with the flat roof; you won’t do much. I also looked at Marwa’s vila and he has not settled because of issues in connection to exactly what we are speaking about. Do not also be misled by the butterfly roof either; bro if you insist you will abandon your own house to rent elsewhere. I presume it doesn’t take rocket science to concede to the fact that flat roofs were architectural designs for the deserts against the high paced wind

Western Kenya experiences heavy rainfall, particularly during the long rainy season. Flat roofs are prone to water pooling because they lack the natural drainage that sloped roofs provide. This can lead to water damage and leaks. However if they properly done and all the future risk are well taken care of there's no need of panic.

if you do comparison of those blocks and the bricks just next you will conclude that the block have no good cement to dust ratio. we have concrete blocks that been rained for 20 years with no impact. Flat room only need concrete gutter with enough down pipes. Flat roof depends with Fundi experience. In western we have Market shops which are like Flat room their wall are exposed for many years but impact

Yeah me too flat roofs do not suit especially when it rains heavily it destroys the walls unless they r tiled bt also it depends on the area/region

don't fear a lot people have used the ndarugu machine cut and the houses are still strong. as long as the building is done professionally .

Flat roof has nothing to do with the rains if appropriately installed it will last with no leakage and if you think western Kenya has rains then come to Colombia ujione mvuwa
