Don't say only. "You are 77 days sober." Saying only allows you to down play in subconsciously, and there is nothing to down play here. You have accomplished something great that some people never do. And if I may give another suggestion, stop counting. I feel it forces you to remember alcohol, and think about it. You are just without alcohol now. Good for you. Stop counting how many days you are into your future and just go make a new future.

I quit 8 1/2 years ago. First 2 years in AA, then I ran away from AA so that I could stay sober. People, places and things are very important during early sobriety. It took me 2 years before I felt comfortable being around people who were drinking. I never thought it would be possible. Now I can be anywhere, and it doesn't matter because my commitment to remain sober for life is solid. Thank you for sharing your experience; you are a real inspiration. ❤️

It is.. but only at the beginning for some few week or a couple of months, try not to focus how long it Will take and take a day at a time. And you’ll see the cravings/bad habits feelings/thoughts Will fade away👍🏽🫶🏽

You got it 👍 If you need a little assistance I highly recommend 3g of Kratom a couple times a day. Helped immensely early on in sobriety with the cravings (its a natural plant with very mild opioid effects) Won't get you high either!

Day 4 🎉.. I’ve “stopped” several times before but I allowed myself to think that alcohol was my best friend that I HAD to bring with me everywhere I went . That’s a lie !!! I am twenty seven years sober a day at a time and a recovering alcoholic and i was fortunate that i got it first time. I battled depression for over two years at the start of my journey of recovery. Go to A A and you will get help and stick with it and you will stay sober. Its not easy at the start and you will want to drink but persevere on a day, hour, minute at a time. And you will reap the benefits on the road to recovery.

Up to the my middle 20s. I think I had a fairly sound mind, but as my drinking bouts became heavy and more frequent, my sense of reasoning and moral fibre diminished over the years to a point in my 50s were I was losing my mind to that of a degenerate , at the age of 59 I lost everyone and every thing. I then found myself alone in the world, still drinking on and off , I had lost everything because of alcohol, now I was drinking, because I had lost everything. On my 72nd birthday I stopped drinking alcohol for good and all, I am now 77 and one half years old and the last five and a half years, have been like being born again. Still on my own, ( you cant unring a bell!) but this old man now has quality of living back in his life. I do not regret not giving up sooner in my life, because I have done with negative thinking , but my advice, is, what ever age you are, take that bottle and empty the contents down the toilet and CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN!

I’m on day 3 here. After a series of quitting and relapsing, quitting and relapsing, I’m walking away from the booze for good. Too much to live for ( a wife, 3 kids and a career to name a few) and alcohol is NO LONGER in the equation. Wish me luck 🍀

I discovered how weak alcohol makes people it was only then I was able to deal with bullies and just plain drunks not in a very nice way either but I’m not nasty with ordinary people just drunks and being bullied when I was young made me that way.

I usedto drink at least 60 pint cans of stella every weekend for 30 years i was known as the stella monster. I gave up 10 months ago and dont miss it one bit my brain fog has gone, i dont feel sick all the time, my energy levels have gone up, my heart and kidneys have stopped hurting and i can get a proper erection again. Happy days 😄
