"Can I borrow...?" Matt: "Sure. With a $200 deposit." People have no respect for others' things these days.
@ShadowzGSD3 жыл бұрын
i will never understand how this happens, if i borrow something it goes back perfect, someone else borrows something and it is knackered. i find it so difficult to think outside of my own morals.
@BKJustPlays3 жыл бұрын
If you borrow a tool from someone you should return it in the same or better condition. I stopped lending my tools out a while ago and the reason was because I got tired of buying 10mm sockets and wrenches.
@WarpedLab3 жыл бұрын
Oh man.. those 10 mm sockets for some reason are always disappearing..

You know what they say “leave it better than you found it”. Apparently they probably never had any friends to teach them that.

its a worldly type issue.. applies with everything these days .. eeevery day.. leave our planet juuust a little wee bit better than we found it.. not a lot of effort required.. just attitude & respect.. it dumb founds me when people do this or even.. return things dirty.. cheers from NZ.. the saying.. you break it you bought it !

My dad has a lot of exactly the same experience, he lended DVD player- ( fully working) can’t read a disc now, handsaw ( new one) - came very scratched and with broken cutting wheels, and the list is way longer

But sometimes things just brake due to being moved around especially DVD players, dont lend it if you dont want to loose it is a good rule I guess

I only borrow tools to specific persons that I know they use them correctly and clean them before returning them. For every one else, the answer is: I can't help you.

I don't share the same opinion, I borrow tools and they come as they should. The issue was that you lent to people who are not careful

to lend something is even worse than to give it, people do not respect anything especially if they do not have to pay or answer for their actions, this is the lesson of history never never lend anything, indicate where to rent or buy the necessary equipment, and if you have equipment, above all, never let it be known, this will create envy and enemies
@WarpedLab3 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with everything you said down to the envy and enemies, isn't that so weird how that works.
@neur3033 жыл бұрын
The lesson here probably is not to not trust, but who to trust. I am sorry for your bad experience. I wonder what your "friend" sees in you. Hope you find people to trust ❤️
@WarpedLab3 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right.. that is definitely the lesson but sometimes you think you can trust somebody but you actually can't. I'm pretty sure he sees a free rental house in me...lol.

@@WarpedLab When I don't know people well enough I like to give/lend them things I don't expect to be returned. That way I don't get disappointed and it's only a small price to pay to get to know them better. You seem to have a good heart. Take good care of it. 👍
@WarpedLab3 жыл бұрын
@@neur303 yeah ! You hit it right on the money, I've been putting an end to that starting this year. My father was a minister, so I was always taught to trust people, give them the benefit of the doubt, and forgive them always, I'm learning now especially on KZbin, that's not necessarily the best way..lbvs

I don't know why I posted it I just thought it was interesting I guess. But I will totally be uploading all of those old slow motion videos right here on this channel, some of them were absolutely amazing but we're a little bit out of context. My plan was to start my Channel with the high-speed stuff, get re-familiarized, perfect the product, and then move into my final phase which is just doing what I do best building and executing crazy projects.. while always having that high speed option on my belt just in case I need it I like to bring it 100%.

@@WarpedLab I see. Thanks for explaining. I was also curious because I made some comments on the community post that I wondered if they got deleted by the censors. Censorship really burns my ass. I understand it's their private platform, etc. but the bottom line is they're bullies and if they don't agree with you they silence you. I watch a lot of 2A channels and have been a 2A proponent / advocate for decades. I'm sure you're aware of what they're doing to 2A channels. Sadly, as well as pcp air rifles which I'm involved in more and more these days. They, YT and the feds, say we have a gun violence problem and have been trying to shut us down for 80 years now. 12000 people a year die from guns. Every one a tragedy. A healthy proportion of those are suicides. (Which is a whole other topic / argument) it's not about gun control, it's about people control. It's not about saving lives. Almost 40k people a year die in automobiles and I don't see anyone trying to shut down car channels or censor what they say. Also look at the filth on YT. Search "dick or dildo"... which I'm fine with. I support freedom above absolutely everything. Without the second ammendment we have none of it. Anyhow about those 2 silly English chaps... They've always given me a bad vibe. Fuck their shit. Lol. Take care Matt.
