Over in Europe we also have Adam Hall (parent company of LD Systems) that also has a catalog full of case hardware and wood. I always have ny boxes build and aluminium cut by a case building company and finish them of myself. Which comes down to assembling, drilling and riveting and of course the most important part: Making sure everything fits perfectly. Saves me about 40% of total cost of a completed case.

I guess i Just don't understand why of company 1 can make it for x, why you'd have to be 2-3x company 1. You all use the same ingredients you said.

We use the same suppliers, not the same ingredients. As an example, Costco sells A5 Wagyu and regular ground beef. You can buy standard aluminum extrusions from Penn Elcom. LM designed and created our own cornerstock / tongue and groove shapes which required custom dies. Beyond ingredients, everyone will have different operating expenses. Someone building cases in their garage will have a lower monthly mortgage than say a 40k sq ft shop. Payroll is another factor in operation expenses: How much do the employees earn? Do you offer health insurance, retirement etc…?
