I agree, I did also read his book and I liked it first, but as he expressed his thoughts about the Palestinian people, his book became unreliable. Also It made me realize that, just because a person is seen as "intelligent" by the society doesn't mean he's human and good hearted

I used to read a lot of self help books about self esteem, self improvement etc. It felt like reading a novel, these books somehow gave assurance that I will improve in life. Later, I later realised that with all their experience and enlightenment, these authors weren't able to find the absolute truth, Islam. I am not denying all of there teachings but how can I know which of their ideas are fine with Islam and which are not :)

Which is why I really don't see the value of Muslims seeing non Muslim psychologists. Unless you're not very introspective and benefit from talking out some surface level issues, psychological help without a basis in Islam is useless. We need more Islamically trained psychologists! JazakAllah Kheyr. Spot on. Most non-muslims nowadays live a life devoid of any spiritual meaning so their lives revolves around this dunya and the side effects of that is being heavily materialistic. Everything from school, work, civic duties, entertainment, all of it is meant to literally breed atheists and corrupted morals. Reminds me of the hadith of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لاَ يَذْكُرُ مَثَلُ الْحَىِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ ‏"‏‏.‏ Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one." Sahih Sahih al-Bukhari, 6407 In-Book Reference: Book 80, Hadith 102 USC-MSA web (English) reference: Vol. 8, Book 75, Hadith 416 (deprecated numbering scheme)

A hadith that is forgotten these days, Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for some men amongst the believers who dislike to be left behind me and whom I cannot provide with means of conveyance, I would certainly never remain behind any Sariya' (army-unit) setting out in Allah's Cause. By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred. Ve Aleykum Selam Jan brother. Absolutely 💯 on point in your video. And by no means this is intended to be disrespectful to non-Muslims. But reality is reality. We have the truth and methods for life that can be applied to all mankind, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. However, its not the case on the flip side since many times methods of life from non-Muslims does not apply to Muslims, let alone to their own selves. As always, great video! 👍🏻

I was reading alot of self development books from non Muslims authors and I come to a conclusion that they all tried to search beyond the physical achievements such as money fame charity etc because the human being knows deep down in his heart that all these achievements does not fulfil his dreams so when they become overachievers they still miss that part which is what we call الايمان بالله وبرسوله وباليوم الآخر

Your videos are very good, very good point about success, I always dislike hearing about the western, materialistic definition of success, you are right that Muslims must remember not to listen to the materialists about these things, because these definitions they give of these terms are from their religion of materialism, when they speak about these things they are in reality propagating the religion of materialism that they themselves learnt from others who believe the same things. The reason why career is so important and why making money is so important to these people, is that in their worldview there is no afterlife, or heaven or hell or judgement, so if that were so, then money would take on more importance as a result, because it would then become the means to create paradise for yourself in this world or escape the hell of this world, i.e. material poverty, so for them money really is nearly everything, because, there is nothing else in their worldview of materialism that can take its place or be given more importance, they removed everything that could do that, they removed God, the afterlife, heaven and hell, so they invented a new heaven for themselves to believe in and chase after, and that is their notion of success which is to become rich in this world and experience heaven on earth, failure then becomes not making a big amount of money. In this world view money takes on the same function as good deeds have for us, this world is where heaven is and where hell is. It reminds me of the hadith of the dajjal bringing with him something that is like heaven but in reality is hell, and something that is hell but in reality is heaven, this could be understood in many ways, and may have multiple layers of meaning, it may be that he does this literally when he appears in person, but before then this could be referring to the false ideology of materialism and hedonism which his system spreads and preaches, and it could also of course refer to the western world, or western civilization which is serving his agenda, appearing as a heaven on earth to people living in other parts of the world, and other places appearing to be some kind of hell, because of how people have been manipulated by appearances and wrong information. In the end times appearance and reality are not the same, this is one general meaning that can be extracted from the hadith.

The prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said that you can learn even from the Chinese …. By that he meant that we can learn from other nations and even from pagans or non-Muslims. In fact, Arabic scholars who developed algebra and medicine in medieval times were reading Ancient Greek and Roman books and they were building on that knowledge. Ottomans used the technology of Roman aqueducts. Persians, even when they accepted Islam, still relied on knowledge they accumulated in pre-Islamic time. Islam encourages learning and studying, as by learning you understand better the creation of Allah. And Muslims are allowed to borrow knowledge and learn even from non-Muslims. That’s what set Muslims apart from Christians in the dark ages, as the Church often times prohibited learning anything from pagans or non-Christians. Allah said that He created all ethnicities different. Meaning every ethnicity has its own weaknesses and strengths as a nation, as a group, and faces unique challenges. Therefore, people from other countries, culture and even other religions can be better than us at something and it’s okay to learn from anyone. Just put your faith first. Compare that knowledge with your faith, make sure you don’t do anything haram. But even a non-Muslim advice can be helpful sometimes. But I understand there can be periods when it’s frustrating to deal with non-Muslims because they don’t understand some things or have bias, so sometimes our souls craves communication with only Muslims. But ignoring advice from non-Muslims feels limiting to me… there are things they will never understand, yes. There are things in which they will be wrong. But they can also be right on some things. Honestly, some Muslims are intolerant and narrow-minded, due to wars in the Middle East and spread of extremely conservative sects within Islam - Wahhabism etc, lack of modern education, poverty, influence of local conservative culture etc . it can be difficult to talk to some Muslims due to influence of local outdated traditions (which often don’t have anything to do with Islam or are very limited interpretations of Islam). There are brilliant scientists and experts in certain fields who are non-Muslim. I take information from different sources but I evaluate it, whether it breaks the rules of Islam or not.

But if you go looking for a Muslim business coach, thread very carefully because most Muslim business coaches are frauds. There's nothing you will gain from them for business or for akhira from them. An about your shaikh n madhab. Had it been for most sheiks everything they cannot contro would be banned and declared mutlaq haram. So again they are not good at giving life advice and certainly not business advice. Btw most of the so called sheiks are the one who have made halal what Allah made haram ie Riba.
