I just read about your channel being not for profit and proceeds go to animals in distress. Big Kudos to you!!!

I enjoy your style of filming so keep up the good work. I tend to film all my live digs just for that rare occasion something pops up at depth, tricky signal and I’ll show the whole dig, like with the manticore lately has surprised me with targets at depth and hopefully people can listen to the machine reacting to a target on the edge of detection or commingled with Iron and find a similar target for themselves. Also you can’t beat the excitement of finding something for the first time and have it on camera, I would struggle to reenact the drama myself😂 Keep up the good work👍

Totally agree with you. No more live digs. We don't like living through exactly what you just did almost every time we go out! We definitely just want to see the highlights and pretend all you dig are awesome targets! 🤣

Michael you are a true master in the art of detecting. But so nice or not lol......To see the effect of the dig to see nowt, bloody shame but that is detecting. Love the live digs sir but either way i will still be watching. Kind regards. YBD

That’s an interesting perspective. I’ve found that viewers often appreciate seeing the full detecting experience. It’s not just about the sensational finds. One doesn’t need to record the entire hunt from start to finish of course. However, it can be helpful to others to show the good along with the bad, to set realistic expectations, to help educate them on tones and technique even if it does requires a bit of extra time and editing. Not all videos need to be live digs but those that occasionally share them seem to do so with favorable viewer responses.

@@martinsmith2984 I’m not suggesting that his finds are planted nor that all “KZbinrs” are only about making money. Just sharing my opinion that for some, showing the live dig and that not all finds are hammered coins or Roman silver, can be worth the extra time and effort. There are also several KZbinrs out there that speak at length to the detector’s features and functions.

As painful as it was, I still watched the whole thing! I've been there and done that. I still record most every target, but I stopped uploading any of my detecting adventures.

What the heck I love seeing junk come out even if it takes all day. Lol I totally agree with not showing every dig we all no how long it can take sometimes. But not every one has bin detecting

Spot on illustration. The core of the electromagnetic target field lines prob 'project' well beyond the confines of the target itself in some cases. I found a fairly big forged nail sitting at 45 deg in the sidewall of my hole last week so it's poss the shallower part of this e.m. field was some way off and this is where both my ear and my large coil purported the target center to lie

Maria here 👋 I never do live digs,most of the time I just dig rubbish anyway, even good signals can be absolutely dire finds. Thanks for sharing 😊

Not sure if you did in the video it but retune the pinpointer in the hole. Pinpoint as best you can, then lift the pinpointer away about an inch from where its buzzing loudest and tap the button. Drops sensitivity right down and really helps zero in on the target. It has saved me a few times on similar holes. Every now and then though there are those targets that still cant be found even after 15-20 minutes of searching... They stay in the ground to confuse me a few months down the line when ive forgotten about them.

Hi there, I was one of those that asked. I understand where you are coming from. Because I am new to the Deus 2, your Forager program, I was curious of the different sounds that different targets make! Love you videos and get a lot from them, will still be a loyal follower. Thanks and sorry for asking. Keep up the good work :)

Hi Michael, I know the feeling of the endless dig. This is what thins out the heard when it comes to detecting. Thanks for showing people the truth of the live dig. I prefer your regular videos. I think I see China in the bottom of that hole.😅… John

Michael I think you are completely missing the point... it takes the same amount of time to dig a hole wether you film it or not. Setting up to film takes a minute or two but a 10 minute dig is no faster not filmed!!!! Its up to you wether you chose to make your viewers sit through the result - personally I would not put them through the pain by keeping it in the end video but if you had found something amazing after all that actual digging you would have had an amzing clip!!!! (P.S I would still have edited it a bit even then...! 😁)
@OMA_MetalDetecting4 ай бұрын
That’s not a bad shout Alex, it would still be a long edit but I guess if you deleted clips that had trash finds as you go (in the field) it might speed things up abit. I guess that one time you do pull something out will make all the effort worth it. You will Always have someone say you planted it though as the footage has been edited but that’s life 👍👍
