I'd remove that protector every time I close the lid as it is easy to put it back and also it can leave a marks on the display when closed too. Thanks for the heads up!

How do I clean my laptop screen properly? This keyboard cover left a mark in the screen but it was not damaged or anything

For Apple laptops, it's recommended to turn off the computer and use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe the screen and then dry it with a dry microfiber cloth. Don't use any chemicals, just a little water on the cloth.

this is a silicon keyboard cover and have you tried cleaning it using rubbing/isopropyl alcohol? I think alcohol should be able to clean those oily stuff off.

The point of a keyboard protector is for it to jot get dirty by coffee or whatever but that doesn't matter if it gets dirty either way so theres no use for it

My problem with these keyboard covers is that they stretch after a while and then dont fit properly, with bubbles all over as you type

Keyboard skins from "KB Covers" are the best & leave no residue at all. They also have custom skins with labels on hotkeys for popular editing software. Who did you buy your skin from, Ed Gein?

My keyboard is ALWAYS oily, i dont use a cover. I clean my hand properly, I always clean the keyboard with alcohol, I keep rubbing hard, but the oil always come back after a few minutes of typing and cleaning hands. Its like a layer of protection material went off. Unsure how to fix this, probably will try to buy keyboard key stickers instead

I still have the plastic that covered the laptop when it arrived all new i cut that piece of plastic to fit the keyboard and then i always keep the cover in between the laptop screen and the keyboard to avoid screen marks

I got the same thing. I was wondering where that oil was coming from. The cover at least protects the keyboard in the case of dropping coffee or water over it but this oil is a pain. I wonder if its harmful for the computer.

it is harmful, theres little space from laptop that can release the heat of the laptop. although you have clean fan and well managed heatpipe but remember the rule of the heat. It will easily go up. So if u use keyboard protector, that will make your laptop heat unreleased properly
