Dry hands need far more from a product than the average lotion can provide. I also think your dislike for snail products psychologically affects your view of the brand ;)

I'm glad someone finally mention about Cosrx's Ceramide hand cream! I think it's very underrated and almost nobody knows about that product lol I was looking for a nice hand cream that is not greasy because I've been using hand sanitizer or washing hands frequently (obviously due to pandemic). They have 2 types of ceramide hand creams; light version and thick version and I chose the light one. The size is just nice that come in handy to carry around outside too. Other than that, I love their Green tea aqua soothing gel, Cica toner, BHA power liquid.

So my skin is oily and acne prone, these are my stables from Cosrx: Snail Duel Essence (I know you don’t like snail mucin), Snail peptide eye cream, Propolis toner, Propolis moisturiser and Centella Serum. None of them seems to clog my pores and give me the hydration that I need.

I can understand the paula’s choice problem you’re saying with Cosrx and perhaps it’s because they’re a lot more affordable that I don’t feel the same way. I actually quite like that they come out with full lines i.e. all snail, all propolis, all cica etc. I find their products are really good for sensitive skin types and again reasonably priced so I’m a big fan. Favs include snail essence duo (SO calming), propolis toner and the aloe soothing sun cream - literally that SPF doesn’t bother my rosacea which makes no sense because of all the fragrance but I’m obsessed.

First I am new to your channel and I have found myself really enjoying it. I think you might be underestimating the consumer.... We come to your website and others to educate ourselves about skincare, in particular in relation to our own skin. I find one thing that you (skincare influencers) all have in common is that you stress skincare is individual and you have to use what works for you. I think it's great to have subtle differences between products, because there may be one aspect of the formula or formulation that disagrees with someone and for that reason they may miss out on a great product. I do agree, however, that it can be overwhelming especially if the company is advertising these things as entirely different products. It would be nice, if they blanketed it under one product, highlighting the subtle differences and why, so people can decipher which works best for them. Just my thoughts! I wonder if you could do a review series isolating some of these COSRX products and talking about the differences or similarities and why one person may choose a certain product over another. If you've already done this thank you, as I said I'm new to the channel so haven't been able to go back too much through old videos yet.

I have extremely dry and suffer from acne. I really enjoy cosrx for a few reasons : 1. Most of their products are gentle and hydrating. Their exfoliating toners are gentle, their cica line while does target acne and redness are hydrating. I feel that whatever product i try I know that it is gonna be gentle and will not fuck up my skin. It may not work but it will not bring about new problems. 2. They are accessible and however popular products are they dont go out of stock for too long. 3. Kind of tying to my second point, but given that they have so many products, its quite easy to find alternates when your holy grails are out of stock. 4. They are also essential oil and fragrance free. I have nothing against fragrance and till 2 years ago i never cared about it. But after I suffered from contact dermititis during covid because of a heavily fragranced product, I realised the importance of it. Finding products in a drugstore without irritating ingredients was and is virtually impossible in India. Online is the only way to get your hands on it and the fact that its super accesible really helps. Cons: In Indian market, I wouldn't say Cosrx is cheap. Its somewhere between luxury and affordable. All their products are definitely above INR 1000 which is pricy (not cheap like ponds or garnier or neutrogena). But its worth it for the ingredient list. Sorry for the extremely long post.

The Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is a god send. It is a great BHA for beginners because I tried the PC BHA first and realized it was a bit too strong for me because it gave me a terrible purge. After a few months, I will definitely start incorporating PC instead because it did have better results, but for beginners, the Cosrx BHA is amazing.

Hi Rob I do use a fair bit of cosrx as it seems to suit my very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. As with other Korean spf's - I just stopped using them and use their other skincare items. My favourites are: The cica toner and serum - both work really well for me to calm soothe the skin The snail essence - works well for me, as it's very hydrating The propolis toner - super hydrating and also calming on the skin I like the snail eye cream ok (good ingredients, but not rich enough for me) and the rice mask is nice. I agree that the toners/essences are the best products though and my dry/thirsty skin loves toners/essences. I don't think unless you have very dry skin, you can understand how THIRSTY it is and how tight it feels. Toners etc are in 100ml plus bottles (sometimes as much as 400 to 500 mls), whereas serums are in 30 to 50 mls approx. That means I can layer fairly lavishly with toners and essences for hydration, in a way it would be too expensive to do with serums. As you yourself Rob don't have that really dry, tight and thirsty skin you're not going to appreciate toners/essences in the same way. I understand that much less thirsty skin is like "yeah they're ok" rather than "oh I love that" when talking toners/essences. You just don't need those layers of hydration I do. Until you have that feeling of being totally parched in the skin (despite drinking lots of fluids), then they're just not going to be an essential step for you. I think that may be why you're struggling to appreciate the love some of us have for them lol. Cosrx as a brand are easily accessible and have some really decent formulations that suit my ultra sensitive skin. They're at a decent price point and fit in well into my routine. I'm a bit disillusioned with how brands behave in general, but compared to some others they're not too bad - not bad enough for me to stop using eg first aid beauty and keep cool. I don't shop on their actual website, so the choice is far more limited from other retailers of the brand - nowhere near the 100 products mentioned. I'm happy with my favourites and they go in and out of rotation for me - many are repurchases. Best wishes.

I actually really like to have two mini lines of CosRX for specific situations. The propolis line of minis for bad breakouts and the cica line of minis if I have a reaction or upped sensitivity. I can keep these both on hand for those situations without breaking the bank plus I don’t want the full size bottles taking up space and possibly expiring because I am not using them enough.

I really love COSRX's entire Propolis line! So good for dry and sensitive skin. My absolute fav being the Propolis toner, which is a ride or die product for me, but honestly all of the Propolis products have been great for my skin. And as far as snail mucin, if that's your jam, the cream or essence will do the trick. I have a feeling the CICA line would also do well on my skin, but honestly the Propolis line gives me all I need from COSRX.

I use at least 2 toners in each of my routines. A light watery texture and a thicker richer texture. I’m happy that you enjoy my Rovectin and Haruharu toners. I’ve got lots more in my arsenal and would never be without my toner steps. I’ve only got a couple of Cosrx toners and don’t use them daily, but I will include them when they’re what my skin needs 😊. I know what you mean though, I’m reaching less and less for the Cosrx brand.

The area of K-beauty is definitely where I show my age.... as I like to buy skincare products that I can pick up locally and return if needed. My mature skin has become more sensitive, so I have had to really streamline my skincare routines, and stick with more simple formulas. Now I have switched to K-beauty sunscreens, as they truly are the best! And as they become more available in stores, I'll be more likely to try more of their products. But I certainly can see how beautifully these products can improve the skin! ❤❤❤

I have yet to hate anything I’ve tried from Cosrx, including the sun cream. The snail mucin essence and AHA/BHA toner are staples in my routine. I do agree, they have way too many products and that can be confusing for some consumers, particularly people who are new to skincare. However, I’m not a newbie. I know what ingredients I like and what I want to try and I know Cosrx will have pretty much anything I want. Like The Ordinary but better.

All very valid points Rob! :) I tend to click away whenever I see their huuuuge selection of what's basically the same thing. That's where people bringing up their highlights of the series just becomes SO SO valuable. On the other hand I'm all for toners and essences, they're the easiest way to deliver the level of hydration (and my skin eats it all up without a trace) without weighing my skin down like multiple serums would. Lots of love to you! xxxx

I was about to comment to say the only cosrx product I’ve tried is the ultimate nourishing rice spa mask and I loooove it. The experience of feeling instant softness and hydration is nice in itself, but it’s also helped my skin get through some recent dryness as I adjust to using BHA liquid exfoliant. So glad you mentioned it in your positives! I also have an order on the way which includes the cosrx pimple patches after hearing you mention them in some other videos. Hoping they help when I experience my next break out!

The reason Paula’s Choice has some products with same ingredients because the make versions for people with dry skin which prefer rich and creamy version and a gel type or watery one for people with oily skin. Something for everyone. One size does not fit all. So it is about texture that’s the difference.

CosRX has a lot of interesting products, but they can be quite confusing, especially for people who aren't familiar with their products. My favorite from them is the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. It was so effective at treating sebaceous filaments, blackheads and uneven skin tone around my chin area. It uses Betaine Salicylate, which is a derivative of Salicylic Acid. I personally find it more effective than any 2% Salicylic Acid products that i've tried. And it's so gentle. My ex's favorite product is their AHA/BHA. I currently don't use any of their products, though.

The one product me and my super sensitive skin can't live without is from COSRX is the B5 D-Panthenol cream. Last year I tried so many moisturizers and this was the only one that acutally worked and additionally calms my skin every time I use it. It has 10% of Panthenol - that's something I've never ever seen in any moisturizer and even some serums contain a lot less than that. And it is even fragrance free which is so importan for people like me who always react to fragranced products.

Interesting perspective, Rob and I can see why you are not drawn towards it as much yet. The brand's Business Value Proposition (BVP) is to create star ingredient products with max impact and hence we see a huge # of products with similar ingredients, with varied strengths. This coupled with types of skin care in the same line such as toner, essence etc...gives consumers options to mix and pair with other brands to get max benefits.

I haven’t really been able to “botanise” that many of CosRX products. I am into Sake and rice ferment so I was very interested in one of their toners (I think the name was something like CosRX galactomyces tonic) But I’ve seen J beauty tonics, essences and serums with rice ferment/sake/galactomyces that 1. have better formulas/formulations and 2. are to a better price and/or 3. are overall way more exiting and fun! I’ve also read that sake in a cotton pad is very effective as it is, and it is very beneficial for the skin 😺😻😺 I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about CosRX affordable hydrocolloid pimple patches, but (luckily) I haven’t had a real pimple for ages (only small reaction bumps that goes away within a day). And if I do see something that looks like a breakout, I’m actually a very satisfied with the drying lotion from Mario Badescu. Same goes for sebaceous filaments and when I struggled with a couple of milia(s). I like CosRX because they’re cruelty free. But sometimes I wonder if it’s okay to use that term when they have products with snail mucin and honey. I don’t know if they also have bee venom or beluga/sturgeon caviar in any of their products (I hope not, with all of my heart!!). But most K beauty have either one or the other in at least a couple of their products 🤷🏼‍♀️ so it’s up to me as a consumer to put my money where my heart is! But I really appreciate brands that don’t test on animals. That’s the bare minimum for me. Then I can start look at the products. Really good video (as always!) and of course I gave this one a like (as I always do!). Sending you lots of love and best wishes and hugs from Sweden 💞💞 🇸🇪 Take care!! ✌️😽💗

Cosrx Snail Mucin, Propolis toner and Cica toner. I like the BHA Power Blackhead liquid too. PC’s BHA always broke me out but this one is gentler and never brings me out in spots!

The only CosRX products I still use is the snail mucin cream at night a couple times a week, and the pimple patches only on rare occasions. I have one tube left of the Aloe Soothing Sun Cream that I only use on the weekends if I'm staying inside. I quit using the 96 snail essence because it had a tendency to make me wake up dry and flaky. The propolis ampoule was nothing special and was totally disappointing for me -- it supposedly has a high concentration of propolis, but I find serums like Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum and even Íunik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum to be so much more effective and hydrating. From what I've heard, CosRX isn't really well-liked or popular in South Korea. It's more of an international/foreign brand that focuses its marketing in Europe and North America. So hat also kind of took them down a notch in my eyes, like they're trying to inflate their status among influencers and take advantage of international customers. By the way, I finally got my MAS package a few days ago and am really enjoying everything! I plan on writing up a little review for the Facebook group. That moisturizer! 😍

love COSRX the Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream and any of their propolis line... especially the toner !! love layering toner after toner during my night time routine, and the propolis toner is my absolute favourite. Don't really think having lots of products is an issue/reason to not buy... feel like TO should have been highlighted on this point ? But totally get the sunscreen thing... I will not buy Krave after their handling of the sunscreen issue.

I tried and liked their sunscreen, my eyes didn’t react, the product didn’t pill up, it seemed to work well. When it became apparent Purito was taking their time with the centillions sunscreen I loved I ordered more of CosRx. My sunscreen is probably sitting offshore in a container ship waiting for their turn at the dock! So now I wait (it’s been about 2 months!). Luckily I like using a variety of sunscreens and the Altruist took 4 days to get to my door from the UK.

All of the Cosrx products I’ve tried have set my face on fire including the centella toner, the snail mucin essence and propelis serum. I have no idea why

I completely agree on the PC issue, it's a little bit too much! However, I love the Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence, the Pure fit cica toner and serum, and the All green comfort sun spf50. Actually, that's all 🤔 I've tried more products but I wasn't that impressed TBH 😅

Ive had mixed results with cosrx. Tried the pure fit cica serum for about 2 months when my skin was sensitised and feeling it due to the colder winter months. Really tacky finish and didnt really notice any improvement at all until i switched it for the pyunkang yul range. That saved my skin during winter. The cosrx sunscreen however was my ride or die during last summer until the k beauty sunscreen scandal (i also just got sick of the scent too). The latest purito sunscreen is my new ride or die for my combo skin.

Honestly, I bought the pimple patches bcs of the hype and I am currently disappointed by them. They don't seem to do much for the acne inflammation. They don't draw the puss, they just rip it out due to their strong adhesive. They have zero effect on my deep acne that shows no puss. I personally like Gerovital's spot patches with Salicylic Acid. After a 2 day use the pimples are on a healing path. 30 patches for a lot cheaper.

I really like their Moisture Power Enriched Cream Moisturiser and I also use their Centella Water Alcohol free toner. Not as a main toner but as a little spritz as a buffer. In fact it is the product I always use before someones "Got you covered super serum" which I find impossible to spread evenly without a pre-dampened skin.

I love toners. They are a staple in my skincare. They helped to even my skin texture and hydrate my skin to the gods. However I’ve never gravitated towards Cosrx. There is no particular reason. I just haven’t. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I tried the rice sleeping mask. Not a fan at all. I expected it to be more moisturizing as the package states and it totally dried out my skin. I find this brand very cheap and will not be buying again.

I’ve used both the sleeping masks and liked that rice one a lot. I’ve not used any snail stuff from them though, I’ve just used the Benton and Neogen snail products. I hated their low ph cleanser, the smell was horribly strong and it was so stripping

I stopped using cosrx simply because of the sunscreen scandal. I was in the middle of using their sunscreen when it was revealed that it wasn’t spf50. I reached out and they were radio silent. I moved on to the Anessa sunscreens and won’t be going back to them other than a cleanser here and there

Don’t worry Jazzy S. Cosrx has many great products. I use a lot of products from this brand and they are wonderful. My sisters also love the toners, creams, the spf and the serums. I can’t live without the Propolis synergy toner, the snail dual essence or the pimple patches. I discovered the brand as a recommendation from James Welsh. I can understand Robs point here but I’m sure you will not regret your purchase 😊
