As I understand it, the problem with drinking distilled water is that it leaches minerals out of your body, since it contains none. I’m not sure our bodies need the trace minerals in normal water, they just need water to not actively remove minerals.
@Hope-Doc

This is a big myth and has no proper science behind it. I've heard it and used to believe it as well as thats all my mom said while growing up. But no it doesn't leach anything. Your small intestine absorbs most of the nutrients you need, by the time water gets to it, it won't know what type of water your drank, it will only see and absorb the containments that have made it. So best bet is drink something with little to none like distilled.

The minerals found in tap water are inorganic minerals that have a positive electromagnetic charge. Our bodies cannot process these minerals because our body has a negative electromagnetic charge, so like a magnet they collect around in your body. Distilled water has a negative electromagnetic charge and will leech the inorganic minerals from your body which caused blockages in your body. Organic minerals which are found in fruits, vegetables and herbs have a negative electromagnetic charge just like our body, so distilled water will not leech them from your body.

The minerals that we do need and that are bioavailable to us are found in the foods we eat. and the benefit of drinking distilled water is that it is hungry water! meaning there is no minerals attached to it so when we drink it it can actually pull and flush out the accumulations of these inorganic mineral deposits in our bodies. You don’t not need minerals from water. You get that from eating. To get any significant amount of minerals from water it was be so gritty you wouldn’t drink it. Now the stuff other than minerals in water is what you really want to avoid. You can search your local water supply because what’s in it has to be listed by law. Water gets recycled and if you think these companies separate sink, toilet and other water you’re in for a surprise. It all gets filtered and reused. Distilling is the cleanest you can drink by far and it’s good for skin and hair. And it is most certainly a myth about it leeching things from your body. Literally a myth that came from water filter companies. But hey you can do your own research. I’ve researched it for years myself because I also always thought that same thing

It was probably the distilled (mineral-less) water leaching the calcium from your teeth 🤭 The behavioral nature of water is not to be pure h20 but to have dissolved minerals in it, this is how all water is in nature. Water gets really “sticky” for dissolved particles when it’s forced into unnatural purity levels

@TannerTheGreat So does natural spring water, which everyone raves about. We discovered that flouride in water protects teeth and bones in small amounts by observing people who drink water naturally high in flouride. Lots of natural water sources have way more flouride than city water.

@@geoffmooregm when they introduced flouride in the water they said cavities will be a thing of the past.. has it worked? Why didn't they take it out of it wasn't effective? A 8 oz glass of tap contains the same amount as a pea size of fluoride tooth paste that states to contact a posion center if ingested.
@geoffmooregm
@geoffmooregm Жыл бұрын
@Jared B No toothpase says to contact poison control if you ingest a pea sized amount. The FDA warning is very generic and says, "If ingested call poison control," but millions of products say it but never give an amount. Pea sized amounts are suggested for children. Even if a child eats the tube, they are likely to only suffer and upset stomach. Toothpaste also contains ingredients used in soap, as well as hydrogen peroxide (for whitening), which again is not poisonous but is an irritant. Most over the counter toothpaste is also considered low flouride. High flouride toothpaste contains around 5000ppm of flouride. Regular toothpaste is around 1000ppm to 1500ppm.

Your body actually swells from accumulating toxins which can come from processed foods like bread, refined sugar, inorganic fruits and meats. The swelling is actually a defensive mechanism so that the toxins cannot harm your body and organs; otherwise, those toxins will accumulate into tumors and turn into what we know as "cancers". Distilled water is a misnomer. It should be called pure water. And will in fact help remove those inorganic materials mentioned earlier and actually be the best form of swelling reduction.

yall should do some research... you need those minerals to stay healthy if you only drink distilled water, you rid your body of those minerals and leave your body unimmune to whatever those minerals help with, and everyone should know that boiling tap water down to the bare minerals won't give you the minerals originally in the water exactly, given simply that certain elements react differently to heat and they can change into something harmful when you boil them. but the 2 minerals that you boiled out of your tap water are both essential for health and by drinking only distilled water, youre putting that water, without the minerals normally, through your system and it is going to instead of supplying the body with slightly more, it will attach to and absorb those minerals and carry them out of your system. dont drink distilled water regularly.its not necessarily dangerous but its certainly not as healthy as normal tap (depending on where you live).if you dont want kidney stones avoid salty and sugary foods and drink more TAP or SPRING water (again, tap: depending on where you live). please do any research before reading this and responding with opposition. all you have to do is look up, "what is the healthiest kind of water to drink," and you'll see distilled water not even in the top 3

The problem is your body needs minerals. Aren't you depleting your body of essential minerals needed? From what I have read, water will search for minerals and bind to them. If you're drinking water with no minerals it will pull minerals and bind to them in your body. I worked in a medical laboratory for 17 years. It's important to know what's in your water. Minerals are good 👍

Hello Jason! Thanks for your note. When I first began exploring distilled water I heard the mineral argument so I did some calculations. My own water has 300 ppm of dissolved calcium and magnesium. Based on the recommended daily requirement for these minerals, I'd have to drink 60 litres of water each day to get what I need from water. The take-away here is that even fairly hard water like mine delivers insignificant amounts of minerals, as far a nutrients goes. But then there's the issue of the chemical composition of these minerals. As I've discovered, the calcium and magnesium in water is non-chelated, which means your body can't use them and needs to find ways to get rid of them. This is why people like Dr. Charles Mayo and Alexander Graham Bell found that drinking distilled water was so beneficial. There's something else, too. One purpose of water in the body is to pick up waste products and toxins that will be excreted in urine. When water already has some minerals in it (i.e. hard water), it's not nearly as "hungry" for picking up toxics and waste products in the body as mineral-free water. It can't do its job as well as mineral-free distilled water. This, I believe, is also why drinking distilled leads to more energy and better health. Distilled water simply does a better job at what water is meant to do in the body. And like I said in previous videos and articles, distilled water is drank by every ocean-going mariner because distillation is how they turn sea water into potable water. After 5+ years of drinking it here at my place, I would never go back. Bye for now, Jason! Steve

@@baileylineroad agree with everything except the body excreting toxins thru urine. Actually your urine is very regulated by your kidneys and will always try to maintain a 90-95% distilled water ratio. Instead, most toxins will be directed to your colon where it will come out as poop and diarrhea. Urine is an even better form of distilled water. And both are very healing.

Steve, I've been drinking distilled water for decades with no noticeable ill health effects. I drink it because it tastes better to me than any of the alternatives, but you've now given me reasons why it might even be healthy. Whatever the reality, the "mineral leaching" hypothesis has been around for years, but like all junk science, it remains just that: a hypothesis. At the very least, it has no studies to back it up. It reminds me of the "drink 8 glasses of water a day" myth that captivated the minds of credulous fools everywhere, keeping them perpetually waterlogged and restroom bound. The idea that one's thirst is an inadequate measure of hydration has always struck me as fatuous nonsense. But I digress. Anyway, good video.

We want organic minerals. Most minerals in spring water or municipal water are inorganic which will do harm rather than help. Best form of "mineral water" would be organic fruits and vegetables. Watermelon and cucumber may help you get more of the water while still providing a good amount of organic minerals.

I drink a bit of mineral water. Isn't that what our ancestors drank for millennia? As closest to nature as possible and sourced from high quality springs. Tap water has fluoride and chemicals to clean it. Most is really filtered so much it removes all the minerals in it.

I wish Fluorine was added to water to clean it but it’s not. Hitler added it to dumb people down and also to pacify them. It’s actually Fluorosilicic acid they’re adding to our water. It’s a very corrosive Chemical. That’s the main reason I drink pure distilled water.

This is not medically sound advice. Don't copy from some random guy on KZbin-speak to someone qualified, like your own doctor who knows your level of health and activity on an individual and personal basis. Copying random people online is how you end up in a hospital or worse. It might take years, or it might not, but this guy doesn't know you and he doesn't know if drinking distilled water would make your personal situation way worse or not. Maybe it's fine for him, idk, but you are not the same person as him.

Hello William! Do you mean a reverse osmosis (RO) machine? Those pull out most minerals, but there's also the danger of internal microbe growth in the filters. Distillation gets rid of 100% of minerals, while producing sterile water. RO is a good technology, but I prefer the distiller. It's simpler, too. Thanks for watching my videos! Steve
