I'm ENFP and my gf is ISFP. I enjoy her presence a lot and feel cared for and loved. 1 annoying thing is that when I like to expand my thoughts in a conversation she kind of loses interest and ignores it. Makes me feel misunderstood sometimes. But if it's not too abstract I can have a good dialog/discussion with her. Apart from that 1 thing we match perfectly.

My love is an ISFP, she focuses on what is relevant and slows down my ENFP restlessness and helps me focus on Si more, because I become more sensing around her. Honestly I have never been more happy. It’s really perfect for me. I always check in with her, and constantly dote over her, with backrubs, I make her coffee in the morning when she wakes and take it to her, I am very aware of her needs. I like that she appreciates my attention.

An ENFP here! Just finished talking with a very dear ISFP friend. He is one of fhe kindest souls I have ever met, and very genuinely caring. I always do my best to understand my friends' personality types; it helps me understand them better and accommodate their needs. I think this is why what you are saying makes so much sense. I understand that ISFPs are very private and would often prefer to be silent, so it's such a wonderful feeling to be able to talk with an ISFP friend for hours, like from 9pm until 4 am straight! Kust imagine how fewarding the feeling is! I deeply respect his introvert time and try not to overthink for his sudden silence. I just love this person to the bones, like if he probably needs my right leg or arm just in case he lost his, I would give them to him unselfishly. What I mean is, I'm try greateful that I found a friend like him, someone who truly cares, listens, and understands my ENFP weirdness. ISFPs out there, you need an ENFP in your lives. Ugh, I talked a lot.

Thank you so much for sharing! I found this video incredibly interesting and I related to everything you said. I'm a fellow ISFP and I used to date an ENFP. He was the most genuine, caring, attentive, supportive and interesting guy I've ever met. We could talk for hours on end and never get bored of one another. I read somewhere that ENFPs see people as the puzzle pieces to this gigantic puzzle we call life. While I think ISFPs look to exploring new ideas and looking inwards to find the missing puzzle pieces, I think ENFPs look to people. Connecting with people of all different shapes, colours, ages and backgrounds seems to ignite the fire in their souls. People are their passion, people are life. They analyse them, they try to understand them and when they don't (as was the case with "mysterious" and "introverted" lil old me), they make it their mission to find out what makes them tick. I've never, ever felt so seen. I've also never been so worried I'd stop being interesting to him once he'd figured me out. I really believe there's no one on this planet who knows me better than he did. It always amazed me how magnetic he was to everyone around him. Everywhere we went - even just walking to our cars in the parking lot - people would just strike up a conversation with him and he would engage with every one of them with so much sincerity and interest. It once took us half an hour to get into our car and go home one night because he had become enchanted by a philosophical conversation about the meaning of life with a nice car guard. I remember feeling a little annoyed and wanting to go home to my sanctuary to recharge. :P It's a shame we couldn't make our relationship work and I really hope I meet more ENFPs. ♥ They are intriguing, addictive, intoxicating and beautiful people.

Wow your comment makes me feel good to be an ENFP 😅 I’ve heard repeated times as well that people feels seen and understood by me, just to confirm what you just said. Just one thing I wanted to add up to your well elaborated and pretty accurate description is, that ENFPs love people yes, and we get recharged by them yes, and also we do like puzzling them together and find out more etc, but that’s not the only one way we have to understand the world and make the full big picture of our world. We use all of the external information we can. People is just one way. We use films, books, comments on KZbin, we look at people interact with one another, we observe the world, - and yes we talk with people -. But it’s a mix of everything. The external world is an abstract thing that we want to process and that helps us build up our always-building-understanding of reality, of ourselves and of the universe. I think you would enjoy my channel, lots of ENFPs talk over there btw :) check it out! Oh and I hope that you find another ENFP partner!:)

Wow, now I feel seen!! So when I was about 13 yrs old, I was thinking about some new ideas, my understanding of the world, and the way my mind thought, and I remember seeing an image in my mind of a giant puzzle with only some outside pieces in place - the one your talking about! - and my imagination saw another piece being put into place. That was the first time I thought about how my brain worked. That memory stuck with me. It's so crazy that you just described the ENFP way of thinking!

Isfp here and I'm currently in a relationship with an enfp. He's such a great guy, he listens and talks well. Makes me really feel understood, with my mood swings and all that. I just really love him. But I'm kinda bothered with what you said, when an enfp is a spouse or a child, someone you have a deeper relationship with, that it might be too stressful for an isfp? Because I hate to feel like this but there are indeed times when I feel overwhelmed by him. There are couple of moments when he tells me things and my mind just shuts down, can't process the things he's saying and I just wouldn't know what to say. And take note, we're on a long distance relationship at that ☹️ In those times I just tell him honestly, that I don't really know what to say to him, or I really push myself to let words come out and tell him something, at least make him feel that I heard him and that I'll always be here for him. It isn't a bad thing though, not something that I would want to be changed by him, I love and accept him wholly and there are no exceptions to that. I just really wanted someone to affirm if this feeling of being overwhelmed is just natural and if there's a way to overcome it, or how to react in such situations.
@myisfpjourney78133 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if can be completely overcome or eradicated. However, if you are truly committed to a relationship, you can learn to both persevere, and to see the beauty in the other person’s differences.

Wow love it! As ENFP we have ALOT of emotions and need help processing and require people who won't feel bogged down with it. It's great to hear you don't get stressed with it I love ISFP and variety of interests. I just wish the ISFP I'm dealing with communicates openly without fear or anxiety. How can I help him relax around me? Why's he gone anxious suddenly? Does he like me?
@myisfpjourney78132 жыл бұрын
For me, communicating the depths of my feelings, emotions, and identity, is a place of extreme vulnerability. Therefore, in order to do so, I must trust, beyond any shadow of doubt, the person I am opening up to. If I believe there is a chance that private information will be blabbed, or that my identity will be mocked, or that the person will deal trivially with my inward being, I will not open up. I will share a lot, but only those things that cannot be used to hurt me. If you want an ISFP to be vulnerable to you, it could take years of proving that you deserve to be given a glimpse into the ISFP’s soul. To help him relax, you have to show interest and acceptance of whatever parts of himself he is comfortable sharing. If you do that, he will likely open up more and more, though slowly. The difficulty is that, there are behaviors that some people see as no big deal, that the ISFP may interpret as someone not caring or being casual with the ISFP’s very being. If he feels dismissed, trivialized, or not taken seriously, he could pull away in a moment. That’s not really fair to you, because you may not even realize you did anything to lose his trust. But life isn’t fair. If you really want to be close to someone, you have to figure out how they function. Of course, if he wants to be with you, hopefully he will afford you the same concern.

I think we have trouble having too many ideas thrown at us at once. Ideas are big and non-detailed. They require thought and processing. Ne just want to throw out one idea after another, without being particularly committed to any of them. Ni wants to narrow down on one idea, or just a couple ideas, and commit to them. So the Ne user is just saying here are a bunch of ideas. And the ISFP is like, let’s slow down and look at these one by one. Don’t give me so many ideas, so fast. I actually have some videos on this topic.

I appreciate your input and the time you took to explain this. I’m an ENFP myself. My experience with ISFPs is not that great, because even though I perceive all of the things you’re mentioning from their side, I see the dynamic as one sided. It always ends up looking like the ISFP gets more from the interaction than the ENFP. I didn’t notice this before until my last and recent interaction with them. The isfp is in my opinion very self-center and uses the ENFP as their sounding board (and fan) more than like equal friends. The ENFP on the other hand misses really, really, really (can I stress this more?) the Ne or Ni when spending too much time with the ISFP. It feels like it lacks depth and it bores us. Just as much as it tires you off, as you mentioned on your video. Therefore the interactions need to be short for the ENFP to be able to handle it (just being honest). These interactions tend to be lead by the ISFP who’s always busy talking about themselves and letting themselves be the center of attention of the ENFP who would try and look at whatever they are saying from all of the possible angels, which in turns will make the ISFP feel like they are taken seriously and someone cares.... but it’s one sided. What the ENFP needs is Ne or Ni to feel fulfilled in a relationship of any sort. Who says the opposite is in denial. Anyhow you gave me some good ideas for an upcoming video on my channel 🙌🏻

I don’t easily get annoyed by people I like. In fact, it is not a drain on me to be with one person, as long as I enjoy that person. I could spend time with my neighbor every day, or just about. But if he regularly avoids you or doesn’t answer texts or tries to get away from you, then you should space out your interactions. Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm ENFP-T... and I'm in love with my boss who's an ISFP lol. It's not going well but I hope I can take what you said in this video to better understand and communicate with her. When I fall in love... I fall hard and give it my all. I hope it goes well.

Zer0zUNLTD. - Well I hope it works out for you both. I would think ISFP/ENFP relationship would be pretty fun; though not without it’s difficulties. Thanks for watching.

My ISFP Journey I’m married to an ENFP... 14 years now! Fun= 100%! We have a ton of it. But it isn’t without its flaws. She loves talking future and possibilities, but gets bogged down with worry and with getting super distracted by said possibilities. I love talking the present and finding what would be easiest, but get bogged down with sloth. Opposites attract, I guess! Love her to bits.

And oh! Till now we never arguing over big things🤔 its only sometimes because of my needs who want more affection or want to have one time togther with him because he somtimes get busy with chores/hobbies then forget to reply my message on time while im waiting lol And the good thing is, whenever i got mad because of that thing,, he always says sorry first and explain the reason then try to pull me again to communicate my reasons of being mad Then because i cant get mad for too long lol, so i forgive him and i said sorry too,, And another unique fact is, whenever im sad he becomes sad too,, and whenever im happy he becomes happy too,, just such a sincere connection :") And still sorry for bad english :"v

Not to sound super biased or anything, but as an ENFP, I often refer to ISFPs as my favorites in secret lol Everyone's great though

Very interesting. I had a dream that led me to my infp part, my artist part. Normally I am an infp but when I was a child I was forced to do things and not what I wanted do maybe I became enfp to build a good environment for others. Can anybody do that? I am a teacher and I ve been loving to make them express themselves but I had loved music and all my life and never done anything about it till age of 28 . One day I rrasiled I have a child inside and I need to let it out so I m thinking I may be an isfp actially? Now I want to do some things but my te is so bad with music. Normally with other hobbies maths japanese ,rafting all kind of adventures I could use te but when it comes to music I can t . Te become very weal. Now for exemple all I want to do is dance and sing and not market advertise myself, think, create plans, contact. All I want to do is study and enjoy and then at the weekend put on a show for everyone. What do you think?
