Disclaimer, Fairly long read for a YT comment, and sorry if it's all crazy lol. I am 100% not telling you how to run your channel or anything, these are just ideas of what I would like to see and what I think others like me would benefit from or want to see from someone like you. i think as far as drumming goes, weekly grids and maybe monthly etudes/licks to learn would be a great way to keep people engaged. grids and licks are also not time consuming to break down, which seem to be received positively by your viewers. It's hard to say whether the BD Drummer learns Group X's music or the breakdowns get more views than the breakdowns cuz there aren't as many breakdowns, but looking in the comments on the breakdowns i see comments about how helpful those videos were, or requests for more breakdowns. Breakdowns and teaching and making intimidating music less menacing is a big strong point of yours imo. I think the grids and challenges or licks and whatnot are a great way to 1) connect with your viewers 2) build a very loyal and growing fan base and 3) help your viewers reach their goals or get better at their passion, which is drumming. Otherwise, i think the reflection videos are the most interesting to me because you can learn so much from watching someone live through something you've been thinking about. As far as drumming goes, I think you're in a great spot to turn this channel into a place with a culture of learning about drumming, life, and yourself, while racking up the views and gaining support from the marching community. Drumming aside, i dont know what you want to make videos on, but my favorites from outside the drum area of this channel were definitely the video on keys, flex your superpower, what being 21 has taught me, my first year out of high school (kinda drumming but the message is bigger than that), and do what makes you happy are definitely my favorite videos. I feel like the pure entertainment content is great, but it reminds me of tik tok where accounts have one or two big click videos but because its all the for you page algorithm the rest of the channel is left up to chance. The entertainment content may get some great views, but you're leaving the success of your account to the social media algorithm, which lately seems to have been killing the smaller channels. I think the steady, consistent, albeit time-consuming progress is the most surefire way to build the channel. I mean that's how you became a world class player drumming, right? you put the work in and didnt skip any steps and made it to the top with time to spare. I think the thing that makes this process even better with youtube is you never age out of youtube. You can go as fast or slow as you want, and you're growing your channel through a consistent viewer base that you engage with and that will stay with your channel, not with an individual video. Imo you're so very good at providing insight and reflecting on your experiences in the hope that someone else can learn from them. This might be a place to take the channel after you run out of new drummers to engage, as long as you enjoi (hehe) it. I mean according to Octoly, How-To videos, Educational videos, vlogs, and Challenge videos (drumming maybe rn, and whatever you want later) are among the top 10 most popular types of videos on the platform. I think you've already managed to pull these videos off within the bubble of the marching community, and the more you learn as time goes on the more you'll be able to share with the world in a way you are good at. That's my (long) two cents, I like the content, youre doing great, and I'd prefer if you found something you enjoy about YT so you keep doing it lol because i really enjoy watching your videos. I always learn something about you and usually me, and it changes the way I make plans about my future in drumming and life. Thank you for still making videos even though you didnt hit the 100k sub goal. I know some that would just stop after that. That takes grit to keep going when the plan goes wrong or you dont meet your goal. Dont worry tho cuz 2021 is coming up ALL SEAN

Dude! First of all wow! Thank you. You definitely are hitting it on the head when you say to grow the channel Little by little not trying to aim for a viral video and what not. I think something 2020 taught me was that there aren’t any “quantum leaps” it’s small steps made consistently which bring in big wins. SO that means that even if my vids aren’t home runs the goal is to have constant dialogue with you guys and bring value to you. I think personally I love the physiological/social aspect of drumming and that’s why I feel those vids have more passion. I have this thing I’m going to launch VERY soon that’s directed straight towards young drummers so I think that will be a place for the die hard drummer. This channel will have drums but like I said that’s NOT what I want the channel to be about. I’m actually excited to see how you guys respond because I believe it’s going to be in a very positive direction plus I’m going to be VERY flexible with this process :) so yeah let’s see what we can make out of 2021!

YES DRUMMING CONTENT!!! Honestly as a girl who has a dedication for drumming I've learned so much from your videos and I just wanna say thank you. I wouldn't be where I am today without you.

As long as you enjoy the content that you create, the vibe from the video is gonna transfer to your supporters. I love your drumming videos, but a favorite video that you made besides drumming was the one with the skit with yourself. I thought it was pretty interesting and I would love to see more skits like that because I thought you did well with it. But again, its up to you on what you wanna do. The content you create is enjoyable because you make it enjoyable. Im still gonna keep watching you and seeing you progress with this youtube thing. And when you hit 1 mill ima say ive been here since the very very beginning 😂.

Yeah man not a failure just a lesson learned. Dope content. For my unsolicited advice and what I’ve learned is you have to stick to a niche more than anything especially if you are starting out. I’m still learning and my channel has had slow steady growth, but my niche has not changed. Also subs are cool but not the #1 factor when it comes to success on KZbin. Hope all is well with you, and I’m 100% your channel will blow up this year just by how good you are talking to the camera. Happy New Year 🥁✌🏼

Thank you! Yes setting numbers are just waiting for a disappointment to happen and plus numbers aren’t nearly as fulfilling as building a community of people who genuinely enjoy watching my content. Thank you for the kind words! You will definitely be seeing more uploads in the near future :)

This video talks about so much about setting goals and I've learned so much though drumming and skateboarding and from skateboarding I learned everyone learns everything differently whether you learn it quick or fast everyone progresses

Love this bro!!! Personally, I would love to see you move into the entertainment space we’ve talked about personally. Maybe some music videos, or music related movies and speak your emotions through this channel!!! You make great ass content and you’re movies come out AMAZING so some more of those would be AWESOME!!!! Oh yeah... and some drumming as a cherry on top wouldn’t hurt 😘
