Just got myself a 26” DK LEGEND bmx. I absolutely love it. I’m 48 and I never thought I’d be on a bmx again. As kids, we went everywhere and did everything on our bikes. Kids today have no idea 😂

I have this bike and it’s a beauty, changed the tires and freewheel and it’s perfect
@RydenDirty3 ай бұрын
Agreed. It really is beautiful bike. What tires did you get! I was thinking of changing the front chainring so I can do wheelies on it but maybe changing the free wheel would be better ?
@TwntyUp3 ай бұрын
@@RydenDirty I went with brown continental tires with the same 3M strip on them, the browns are identical to the pads and I’d get a 18t freewheel to make it easier to pedal and wheelie. you can change either or both but I found it more convenient to just change the freewheel from 16t to 18t. Great vid btw
@RydenDirty3 ай бұрын
@@TwntyUp hell ya thanks for the info. I’m probably going to swap out the free wheel cause the stock chain ring is legit

Dope video man, and sweet ass bike! I have a soft spot in my heart for HARO for the same reason. My first real bike was a Haro Flight series BMX, totally chrome. I eventually had a DK as well. It’s really funny, I have pondered recently a few times, I don’t remember EVER working on those bikes, they just always worked besides flat tires from time to time haha. Cheers dude!

A great video Erik, really a great way to reflect the view from childhood and express what magic a bike had back then. I had a GT bike myself when I was 14 years old, but I didn't ride BMX but XC bike races and everyone wanted a GT. I had to wait a long time for it not to be in our budget. Thanks for this video. It also took me back to my childhood for a moment. Have a great weekend bro🤘

@@RydenDirty I had to come back and re watch this. I turn 43 in 15 days. Grew up riding BMX, MX, MTB and Street bikes. I haven't been on two wheels in at least 6 years. I think I am ordering a GT Pro Performer this weekend for my birthday. Always loved GT for the same reasons you did growing up. First legit BMX was a Schwinn predator that my mom got me used. That got stolen, but soon after I saved up my paper route money for a red Dyno VFR. Always wanted the Mach 1 but I had VFR money lol. Now I need to start a Bike Life crew in Canton Ohio!!
