Magne Fureholm from A-Ha told that he developed tinitus during the concert at Rock in Rio in 1991. There were 198 000 people in the stadium and it was before in-ear monitors. He was in his early 20's and has lived with it ever since but had a huge career with the band since then. So Chris there is hope to continue your career successfully even if you can't get rid of it. In many ways I think you learn to make peace with it and it bothers you less.

I love what you are saying about not needing to know why we are on the path we are on (just trust in a higher power), and also how difficulties in our lives make us stronger. I believe that everything that we need to deal with in life will come to us, it is intended to give us the resources we need to fufil our destiny, and also to push us on to the right path should we stray from it. Without the dark you cannot appreciate the light, nor can you develop the strength required to deal with anything in your way. What is it that a singer-songwriter/music producer needs to do what he/she does? A voice and hearing. Tinnitus is a fitting challenge for you, and you are dealing with it. Respect to you.

Mine sounds like never-ending crickets chirping. Like I've been plopped outside at night during the summer. It drives me absolutely insane. If it ever stops, I promise I never want to hear crickets again!! 🤬 🦗 (Gotta laugh about it since there's nothing else I can do!!) Sending love and healing wishes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana!! 💙💙

I can relate, I have had Tinnitus for about 18 years, started with like tweeting birds, like there was a tree full of birds all chirping, then the ringing, now its a combination of both, I have learned to live with it, my own fault i guess, many concerts and super loud music for years. But i still listen to your song Abigail loud, what the heck lol, all the best x

Hi Chris, hope you recover completely. I can relate to you, as I have that sh* since the age of 20 in both ears (more than 30 years now). For me the key was acceptance. Once I started to stop fighting against it, the brain could work its magic and tuck it away into some dark corner where I could ignore it. It's always there, but I have actually to concentrate on it, to recognise it - unless I am stressed or did not sleep enough, then it gets more prominent and is harder to ignore. But more important: it's no longer coupled (in my case) to external sound. So I can enjoy music, even very loud music, without fear that the beast will reappear (my ears will ring a little after loud music, but its a different ringing that goes away as usual). Try to relax and accept, then you'll start to ignore it automatically after a while... (and I promise, that will work, if anything else fails). All the best, get well soon! Cheers

So very sorry to hear this, tinnitus is a horrible thing to get. I am happy your therapy is working for you. One thing I just want to tell you about though. Do you ever have any jaw, neck or shoulder pain? Some people with tinnitus actually need chiropractic adjustment of the TMJ and/or altas bone at the back of the neck because they are slightly out of position and they are impinging on the nerves, and this can affect the nerves of the ear. Might be worth just to visit a good chiropractor and get checked out. If the TMJ is a problem it could be instant relief to get it adjusted. Anyway, good luck with everything in your health and your life. Love to you

Hi there! Hope you feel better. Got tinnitus 20 years ago and also hyperacousics. I’m almost fine now. I would not use white noise (it may even be dangerous), but brown noise or even better binaurally recorded sound waves (there’s been some good improvements since Jastreboff TRT but most doctors are not up to date). Also vinyasa hot yoga helped me (you need to ‘cool down’ your limbic system, the one amplifying sounds). All of these come from one updated otorhinolaryngologist that is also into neurology. Best of lucks¡

Hi Chris! Welcome back! when I was a forensic psychologist( I have abandoned that job.), I took care of some patients who suffered violent crimes and stopped their lives. The therapy that worked was about creating and keeping a habit, even if they were afraid, even if they were terrified. At the beginning it was hard, after some months, they returned to have a better life. I believe that you're in a right direction, and you're gonna be better soon. I have severe tinnitus, due to permanent internal structural damage ,caused by chronically dislocating jaw joints ( yay for hypermobility). The best way to cope is to distract your brain, and not pay it any attention. There will be nights where I can hardly hear my own voice. I just start conjuring up fantasy adventures in my head, and play them out, as if I were living in that world. I'll be so busy experiencing something else in my brain, Before I know it, I'm asleep. As with all things in life. do not give attention to unwanted things. It will get better!

At the hospital group I work they regularly do workshops on noise pollution management. This is especially important for dentists. Our ENT always says that one shouldn't put your headphones even as loud as what you perceive as speaking volume and for short periods only. Hard to do but I basically turn it louder than that but for around 15 -20 a day max (as I drive to work and back. I listen to Dimash....so basically healing ear therapy 😉

1. if you are sick do NOT read in internet. Go to doctor!!! 2. Tinnitus is curable, espesially good in first 2-3 weeks. Do not wait 3 months!!! But even later you have good chances. The best therapy is glucocorticoides. 3 all this stuff you told us about this methods - i don‘t know, I know nothing about polish medicine, but... Can you talk with a french dictor about it? In Germany there are strict protocols for treating tinnitus. My daughter had it once. 10 yesrs ago and we got it away in 2 or 3 weeks. Just try smth rational. Sorry. Good luck.

I don't speak English, but I understand what you're saying. This room is like a sanctuary for you. You can talk to God here. Tell Him that you really want to sing for the rest of your long healthy, happy life. Ask God to give you allthe conditions for this if your desire is in line with His plans. Eliminate tinnitus. If God has a different plan for you, help you understand and accept it. And eliminate tinnitus and also secure the conditions for change. You don't have to beg, talk to God like with us do in this video. You are a child of God. He will listen. And you will understand God's answer. I write with Google Translate, I hope you understan. I have tinnitus too, but I am 77 years old.
