It really depends. I live in South Korea at the moment. My school was verrrry strict, just like the video. We also can't have styled curly(?) hair, and we had to tie up our hair if we did. We had a teacher who would come in and out of classrooms just to catch students who weren't following the dress code. I still hate that teacher. Reminded me of Umbridge from Harry Potter. But as we get close to graduating, teachers tend to not care since their busy with classes and etc. Also some students bring their makeup bag and do makeup during breaks because this was the only 'freedom' we had haha... I also found out some schools in Seoul are much more carefree than other schools out of the city. So the students that you saw in vlogs were probably from big cities or they just don't care if they get caught. My school was fucking horrible. I still hate it.

It kind of make sense to me tho. Most of the student in my high school are smart and our school didn't really enforced the dress code. But bcs of that there is some cases of student whose bag is full of things like make up, hair straightener etc. Some didn't even bother to bring their own pen, pencil etc and only have one book in their bag.

In india you have to make two braids ,no makeup,no nail paint and all, no phones , have to wear school uniform only (in my school we cant wear civil dress even on birthdays) ....and!!!!! In India if you have short hair you can just put up a hairband but no makeup no nail paint, uniform skirts are actually below knees for girls , (since we are in 10th we break many rules and they say nothing😂 like girls wear lipstick etc ) only short earrings are allowed (if we want we can wear necklace cause the uniforms are half like turtle neck you can't see what they're wearing inside so we can wear ) talking to boys isn't a crime but discipline is most important (no loose socks are allowed otherwise we get remarks)

In certain cases smart watches are allowed (some ppl still sneak it in thankfully the teachers won't care about smartwatches unless there is an inspection) No perfumes or any scent (it is reasonable cuz some ppl put too much) 15 min recess for 6 hours of school and teachers stay after recess and keep teaching at times or arrive early so if we include time of washing your hands we get 5 minutes (we got lucky to only have 6 hours some of my friends have 7-8 hours) Also we must use black ribbons and black rubber bands only that are 1cm. No other rubber bands are allowed. Also for some reason they don't allow us to carry it on our hand?? But make up is not banned in schools, even grade schoolers wear make up here lol. But if u attend a catholic school, its basc like this video, everything's banned even not taking a shower, u get scolded if u look dishevelled 😂

In my school, the rules are worse No makeup, no nail paint, no long nails, no phones, no correction pen, you have to braid your hair, no hair colour, no colourful hair ties only back hair ties, should wear school uniform, should wear leggins(only white), no short skirt, no jacket allowed only school sweater is allowed, no accessories (rings, bangles,necklace etc) only earrings are allowed but it should be small 😑 And if you are not in proper school uniform especially the shoes or leggings, they will send you back to your home 😑

In Indian schools, rules are pretty strict but kinda like opposite 1) We can't go with open hair if the rubber band has capabilities to hold it, teachers consider it shabby and stylish. Infact if boy's hair is shabby and a little overgrown, teachers carry extra rubber to humiliate them in class 😂 2) We r allowed to wear gold jewellery as its a part of indian culture where girls start wearing gold earings since toddler's age. 3) Makeup, nah, nobody does it here at all as the heat will melt u n ur makeup down . 4) Short skirt- every teacher and mom hates it, should be below ur knee.

It's not just Korean Schools that are like this....Most all Asian Schools have this type of standard. In Japan you can't wear make up, dye your hair, your skirt must be a certain length, no jewelry that can be seen.

Not related to your comment but I remembered that one time my school didnt allow female students to wear earrings made out of gold and diamond and such so this one time my friend put a stick in her ear and then they literally took it and were screaming at her,ridiculous.😂and this random teacher was quite literally wearing a huge gold earrings but i guess they didnt do anything cuz she was a teacher,ugh.

In Malaysia's schools: 1. Tie your hair as long as it's on or over your shoulder. 2. Skirts below knees 3. Makeup not allowed, so is sunscreen even though we're experiencing heat wave rn 4. No nails over the tip of your fingers and no nail polish 5. No perfume 6. Earrings aren't allowed. Wear some sort of stick through your ear piercings if you have to wear anything at all. 7. No medicine, even if you had pain all of a sudden. You need permission. 8. No cards, even keycards need permission. 9. Oil paper is considered makeup even though it's more like more effective tissue for people with oily skin. 10. Hair ties must be black or brown, only basic ones. No headbands. 11. School uniform only (it's hideous) so, so, so many more

We were allowed to wear simple earrings like tiny studs and lip balms were allowed but only transparent. No makeup but sometimes girls wore but teachers didn't pay attention cause majority were male. And our uniforms were unisex to stay warm.
