Great clickbait! 😉 (in other words, I HAD to click on this!) I have the Avata 1 with the Integra goggles. I've never experienced motion sickness, but have had moments of vertigo. It is exhilarating, especially with the motion controller! They do invite crashes, though! So good to see that you've overcome the motion sickness and have come around to loving it. Another excellent video!

haha a little click-ish! Yes, motion sickness and vertigo with the old glasses got me bad, these ones though have completely changed that, no idea what DJI did, but they did an excellent job! Thanks!

Thanks! It's been a odd journey with fpv for me, I hated it so much to begin with, 60 seconds with those original goggles on made me sick so many times, now, these new goggles and drones make flying fpv much more pleasant for me.

are traditional shots possible? i have a Mini 2 still (selling right now) but i wanted to try something new. but i don’t want to loose the ability to make nice sweeping big shots of locations in good quality.

Well, you can get cinematic shots with it, but I’d recommend the Mini 4 Pro for those.

Hah! Had the same feelings towards FPV until I've spent some time with Avata 2 and now I'm absolutely hooked. Also, Avata got hooked few times on different hard objects 😂 Can't wait to release next video. That manual RC flying is the bull's balls! Can't get enough... DJI might ban me from having Refresh on any other drone... ever in perpetuity though 🤣

Did you manage to get full power wit RC controller on manual in Poland? When it came out it was limited 60km/h in EU while in USA they got speed around 100km/h. That was the reason i didnt get 1 when it came out.

I think it's still limited in Poland to 60km, but that's fast enough for me. Mind you, I'd like to give 100km a go in more open space, I just feel I'd crash it really badly at those kinds of speeds.

LOL, I had the same problem, first time I used those goggles I almost blew chunks 🤣 I found a trick to using those goggles, it took awhile to get used to but don't move your head when flying which I was doing because it's like VR. After that, I was fine, love my Avata 2!

Yes, that can help. It’s a horrible experience sometimes, especially with bad goggles. These are the first that work well for me.

As the Avata 2 is well over 250g, to be able to fly closer to people, an A2 cofc test and pass is required, or it will have more restrictions than something like the Neo. I have a GepRC drone I purchased years ago second hand, I have never flown it as it weighs like a brick and the old camera system is analogue and grainy, I will work my way up through simulators and the Neo with my Goggles N3 (Fantastic as I wear glasses :) ) and the Motion Controler 3 as well as the FPV Controller 3 before venturing into flights with my old GEPRC FPV Drone after an update to digital now that DJI has released the Air Unit 04 the future should be fun :) Happy FPV :)

Yes, I'm fully licensed, but I tend to keep far away from people, especially with an fpv drone. The N3 goggles are good with glasses I've heard, so incredibly bulky but well priced. I was thinking of picking up the 04 unit for my RC cars, looks like something fun I could do.

@@RandyCantrell It can take a hit, but I think personally I'd go with the Neo, sure, the image quality maybe isn't amazing, but it's a great drone to knock around. The Avata 2 is a little crazy, but you can use it in beginner more and have safe fun. I personally would go with the Neo to start with, when I outgrow it I'd save up for the Mini 4 Pro.

I wish it was legal to fly FPV in the UK without a spotter, I don't have anyone to accompany me, just bought a NEO more fly combo and learning to fly with it now . . .

Just had another thought... (happens often) I have a Neo that I beat upon, whilst developing my mediocre manual flight skills. There's just _something_ about the Neo that feels right when I am crashing it, repeatedly, like a hundred times every outing. Something... Oh! Right, I remember. Its the $22 _Annual cost for care refresh_ I can't buy LUNCH for that coin.

I saw your experience with the original BEAST FPV. Thought about it plenty, but ultimately, no. Avata looked appealing, but Avata 2 was to be the one. The most fun you can have with a controller in your hands In full manual, I probably won't progress beyond "decent". I'm okay with that. I like the Motion Controller, but best is the standard traditional one. I see you dialing in that precision you exercised with that Mini 2, contributing to some stunning video output. With your potential, you will go far young man!

It’s fun! I hated how I felt with the original, the Avata 1 looked like a mess, the Avata 2 though looked like a DJI drone, easy to use, lots of options, high quality, tonnes of battery life. I love it! Full manual is fun, crashed it a few times with that, but the most fun I have is with the motion controller, it’s basically a game.

They are very rare on my channel, and I thought it has sense as a title considering my history with fpv. Full manual is interesting, I enjoy it but feel much more at ease and in control flying with the joystick. Whilst it’s worth practicing in fully manual in LiftOff for example, just to know the physics that are in play, it’s way more fun for me to fly stick, at the moment at least.

On my first flight doing my review. I crashed it into a tree not too fast, and it cracked🥲. Luckily, I was able to exchange it at Bestbuy 😉😇. Gotta love best buy. Event though It was a click bait title. I gotta say I loved your storytelling. I kept watching, waiting for something disastrous to happen, but it didn't. But still, such an entertaining video. I'm surprised it didn't break.

Oh you've got to love Best Buy!! I managed to give my Flip back after some nasty crashes and got refunded no problem luckily too! Yeah, nothing too disastrous here, except for my frustration. I love watching fpv videos, and I'd love to fly like them, but my motion sickness is sometimes too much, but with the Avata 2 and these new goggles I've really felt much more at ease when flying. I flew into those volcanic rocks a few times, in sports mode, at full whack and it just dented it a tiny bit, still flies perfectly. Quite a solid drone.
