Sneaky Zeke, I plan on installing my line lock as a rear brake shut off as well, can you confirm that this JEGS model does function this way. I have been reading that it only work like a check valve and will not hold back pressure from the master cylinder. I also understand that it only has a 60 second lock time or it will overheat and could be damaged. Thanks ahead of time for your help! Ray's Garage

Wow I’m glad I saw this before i installed mine on my street car! Installing it on the rear would be perfect to try and get the best patch of rubber with the burnout being able to control the roll speed with the front brakes! Nice! Thanks for the video #Subbed

Hey bud, I installed my line lock like you did and it didn't work. Most brake solonoids control back pressure and let pressure through from the master. You're going to need to reverse your lines in order to isolate the rears. I learned this the hard way, had to take everything apart and mangle the hell out of it but then it worked great.

yes, at least in my case. The port nearest the firewall is the front brakes

Just had to mangle my lines to turn the valve wish I had read this first

How do you Hold Down the Brakes and Feather the gas while Feathering the Clutch all the same time? Heal Brake and Toe Throttle?

Wym reverse the lines. U mean flip solenoid around?

I've just made the same mistake.. I fitted mine on the rear. It locks the rears on whether I hit the button before I press the pedal or afterwards. Looks like I need to swop the inlet and outlet round.

Dude! Only use a momentary switch for a line lock, the danger is that you leave it on and find out the hard way when you're going fast!

you have to switch the solenoid input and output. The solenoid is actually like a check valve when engaged. It allows flow from in to out but not the other way.
@hongmihnhahn70812 жыл бұрын
you means if you want the rear brake to be not working when putting the brake with the solenoid engaged, the solenoid outlet should be connected to the master cylinder output ?

How well did the teflon work ? Because people say it doesent work well on brake lines but I have no choice when using 1/8 npt fitting.

So You Have to Brake Pedal with Your Heal, while Gassing with Your Toe if One had a Manual Transmission? Did you mount the Solenoid in the Recommended flow path of Flip that too?

I keep.reading and I can't understand how this installation on the rear is going to let you do a burnout with the rear wheels

Push the button and it will block the pressure from squeezing the calipers on the rear, allowing the foot brake to control only the fronts.

I was thinking of installing something like this on my rear brakes as well. Would it hold the rears as I’m trying to stage. My stock converter lets go pretty early and my rear tires start to spin. If I use something like this would it hold the rear brakes enough for me to bring the rpms up a little higher?

How are you gonna control the line lock with a toggle that powers up your launch control and no button? Or are you controlling it with launch button?
@nicholaskukich70493 жыл бұрын
do you have to switch the inlet and outlet to do this. Some people are saying you have to switch the lines around or it doesn't work
@SneakyZeke3 жыл бұрын
You probably should, I kind of rushed installing it so yeah do your research and make sure that whatever solenoid you get blocks in the direction you want pressurized

Hey man thanks for the vid :) However, I'm still confused lol.... I have Wilwood master cyl with Wilwood adjustable porportion valve and Jegs line loc. I wanna install for the rear brakes. Should I install the the rear line from master cyl directly to port valve then to line loc OR Master cyl to line loc then to port valve? thanks @@SneakyZeke
