Thanks again Haltech! I’ve really been enjoying the vibe from your technically speaking video series, too marks to everyone involved making them possible. Far too often work can become work regardless of what your profession is, so when a manufacturer injects some spice things can be rejuvenated. I’m not a know it all so the information is useful, but, where things get super interesting is when the delivery of said information captivates customers who were once disinterested for one reason or another; that’s the real gem. Getting customers excited and engaged is a massive plus and I can’t say thanks enough because it’s no easy task to translate the work of a calibrator into an inviting sales pitch. Really looking forward to the next installment, cheers 🍻

Malcolm Hamilton Nitrous cams are similar to a good naturally aspirated cam. Since you’re still pulling everything in naturally through the engine the usual naturally aspirated stuff works.

I have a swap stock k24 in my Delsol. I'm in the process of building an extra engine for mad boost but in the meantime would running a 50-75 wet shot on a stock base map be okay to do while I finish my other engine. Naturally Aspirated it's not as fast as I would like and I only need this engine to last 2years as a weekend warrior. I'm running a wideband and im also interested in tunning this myself is this even plausible lol or will have a bad time?
@DynoLess4 жыл бұрын
I run a 75 wet shot on my k24. But I run e85. And i pulled a couple degrees of timing on my tune. Running stock tune and low octane fuel probably not a good idea.
@yowie08894 жыл бұрын
For "single entry point of additional fuel" wet systems, how much is even fuel distribution per-cylinder a factor? Eg do they run the system so rich that all cylinders get enough fuel, or are lean cylinders still a problem? Same question for the upcoming water/methanol injection video.

When you do direct port foggers does each individual jet increase the total shot of nitrous? For example: when you install a jet for a 50shot on each fogger and it’s directly ported on a 6cyl. Is it 50 X 6 = 300 shot?

@loverboy84767 ай бұрын
@Haltech Around 3:15 "it comes out of the fogger from very high pressure into very low pressure, and because of thermal expansion it becomes very cold..." In my understanding it's the energy needed to vaporize the N20 that makes it cold (Yes, it's expanding, but the phase change should have been in the lime light. Maybe this comes to a personal preference, but the way it was said in the video is misleading.

@bmxriderforlife123411 ай бұрын
@@paulfomin8945 eh not according to one old explanation I heard about it. He used it for cooling but apparently it was dumped into the cooling system. Wasn't recycling. It'd eventually drain. Well hidden but so they could claim that it was just a refrigerant leak if ever caught and not on purpose unless the switch was found.

If it weren't for icing and changing material properties (metals going from ductile to brittle) spraying liquid oxygen into the intake manifold would greatly increase the density of the air. Sadly that would probably melt/explode your motor as the combustion temperature and pressure go through the roof. Edit: Was thinking about forced induction.
