Christian rappers (or rappers that are Christian) are really lyrical activists. We need freedom of speech, and it "seems" like major labels restrict artists in that aspect.

It’s a business 1st and that’s what many artist regardless of who they are a lot of times forget. You are their investment, so they hand you money, and expect you to bring them something back they can sell.... well like with any investor if they don’t know how to sell what you’re supplying them with they will be more reluctant to invest more until shown some proof. Hence this is why any artist who wants to make certain kinds of music and be free in any kind of way shouldn’t work with a label, because you have to earn that freedom to say what you want when it’s their money at stake.

Major labels are payed to suppress freedom of speech and religious views! They only promote Satan and drugs and money and sexual content which gets people who listen to it away from God! Radio wouldn't play this stuff unless it was an independent radio station like k-love

Drug dealers, mafia, politicians, secret agencies, etc, also manipulate the radio stations to play certain songs to either endorse their products or brainwash a certain agenda or trend to the audience. Now, Christians do have the spending ability to also manipulate radio station to play Christian music, but for some ODD REASON, Christian churches and businesses and Christian record labels don't do it.

Sum it up, Labels are BUSINESSES, and will treat your art form in a business manner with monetary value as a priority. Whereas independent artists can release freely and work as they wish, artists through a label will have to work through THEIR process. They are expertise in their field, and they know how to break a record. But that means you have to sacrifice your control of the music, it's not necessarily evil, that's just how the business works. They will invest millions into you as an artist, but you will have to come to terms with the fact you are a BRAND to them.

not necessarily. most labels especially major labels keep many things secret. they probably told Crae that he was gonna be able to keep doing exactly what he was doing with more support and bigger outreach. Crae saw this as a good thing bc he'd be able to spread the Message of Jesus Christ to more people only for the label to then say that you cant release certain songs bc theyre "too Christian" and stop him from doing things.
