Totally feel you on this, Reggie! I was consistently collecting for years and had been making videos for a bit up until about a year ago. Started a new job that was much more demanding, my priorities shifted, and I didn't really have the time and energy to put towards this anymore. As a result, the passion and interest started to dwindle. Things change though, we have ebbs and flows, and I'm starting to feel some of that interest coming back. Do you, and we'll support you either way!

Good on you. I found myself getting too 'crazy' with the hobby, and had to pull out myself and reassess why I was in it. I came back, but at at much more 'curated' form. I'm focusing on the books that I truly enjoy, and have drastically reduced how much I consume. Thank you for sharing!

I can relate - actually even work in similar field - and find it difficult to sometimes find time for hobbies such as collecting. You don't owe anyone an explanation, but at the same time I'm relieved it wasn't anything like that. Also happy to hear that you are still "in it" and that you are getting closer to finding the same joy in reading/collecting comics, and potentially making videos. A hobby shouldn't feel like work and when it starts doing so, it's healthy to take a step back and re-evaluate. Hi my friend. My two cents is you never need to apologize for making choices that prioritize you, your family, and your mental or physical health. I understand and most of us do. Don’t worry about people giving you a hard time. Speaking as someone who’s stepped back from the hobby, how you experience it and partake changes. I am happy that you're back. The community missed you and the honest, intelligent, and focused debate you brought to the forefront. I can definitely understand why you stopped. I'm in a similar space coming to the mindset to have when it comes to streaming. I'm really close to retirement for my job and looking forward to getting married while transitioning to comic creation full time. I have been struggling with burnout from my 9 to 5 while trying to not destroy a healthy balance of doing streams, collecting and writing comics as escapism without impacting family. I definitely can understand why walking away can give you a better perspective on what is best for you at the time you did it. You can't have everything going and still be healthy (in the sense of beneficial to your mental sake and the well being of your family). I get it. Just happy to see that you are ok and doing well. Take your time in producing new content, my brother. Always do what is best for you. And, there will be time later to have good debate on topics in this industry later. Be well.

I definitely understand this, I went through a similar situation with my main hobby. We had to relocate cross country, I started a new job with way more responsibilities, and we had a baby. Some of my friends in my hobby were upset and didn’t get it, others did. I say that to say this, take your time, enjoy your family, everything will fall into place and be as it should. Much respect
