There's nothing "New" about The News . . . It's 'repetition' of the same stories . . . My cousin was a local news videographer. Every year during the first major rain event (West Coast), they would send him to "The Same" intersection which had a damaged drainage system, which was "guaranteed" to flood. Then the reporter would stand there and say, "It's raining hard, LOOK at All This Flooding!" . . . If they were a "real" reporter, they would have said, "It's been 5 years, is the County ever going to repair this damaged drainage system?"

Yeah, we get that same news cycle in NC. Some places, you just expect flood around here, but people moving into the area may not know some of the traps. Larger towns have a lot of construction and moving out into the rural areas more and more.

Independent journalism is so important. You've earned my sub with your honesty and integrity. Independent journalists like you and Jordan Chariton present stories that mainstream media either won't touch or drop after 1 or 2 segments despite the story being an ongoing problem.

She explicitly talks about how bias is inherent in everything we do, say, or see, and that it's more important to acknowledge this and be open about it. Also, Bianca's news isn't free. Just because we're not paying for it doesn't mean it's free. :P Like everyone else, she's has bills to pay which is why she accepted the sponsorship from Ground News. That said, every other channel I follow that has featured Ground News as a sponsor has built their respective brands on being open and transparent about what their biases, while still making an effort to always discuss their topics with reason and depth. So as far as I'm concerned, Bianca's in good company. :D

I agree completely. There's a danger in corporate media for getting stuck for years in a system where you are not paid your worth. There a few chances to advance to a place that pays a decent salary unless you're lucky enough to be signed by a talent agency. It's hard to be satisfied you've done your best work as a storyteller.

It has nothing to do with democrats or republicans. However, it does have to do with Puerto Rico. Teaching puerto ricans to have a victim mentality is all wrong. You may have your opinions about the past and what happened to puerto Rico. But it shouldn't affect your future. Let go the past. And make something of yourself. All countries start off wrong.What's important is the future. Stop fighting the system and learn how to dominate it. United States Constitution Is the best way to fight the system government. embrace the constitution of the United States, and you will see that it is your best weapon.

As a young teen in the 80's I forced myself to watch long format news/interview programs like: PBS McNeil/Lehrer News Hour, 60 Minutes, Charlie Rose, John McLaughlin, ABC News Nightline with Ted Koppel, etc. I think it was the best decision I ever made. Everyone around me, including my parents only watched local "Head Line News" or as Norman Mailer coined it: "Info-tainment." I began to notice a difference in my debates. I was informed with more detail than the rest and I was more objective. To this day, I lament the loss of many long format programs and seek out sources here on YT. Good job young lady. Subscribed.

First time running in your channel, but just by watching this video as my first I could tell how much more happier you are doing your independent journalism. You talk about the work you used to do with the corporate media and you can see the shadow that covers you. You talk about the work you are now getting to do and you glow up. Sometimes you don't need to know a person to see what truly makes them happy. Before you know it you'll be posting 2 times a month and maybe even weekly, just don't overwork yourself which can cause your work to suffer. I will be looking forward to seeing your journey to becoming the Latina version of Candace Owens and similar journalist.
