Crowd management yes very aptly said. I dont understand why people are obsessed with patient load. Admitting 25 patients per duty day is more than enough to learn medicine. In the college where i did internship around 50-60 admissions occur every week. Most of the efforts are spent on discharging or sending patient DAMA. Actual patient management suffers. Even an interesting case like cushings was not worked up properly, yes the residents are brilliant here but whats the point with soo much of effort going in managing crowd. To study medicine private colleges like Manipal are best if you can afford them.

It’s really good that you’ve also understood this vicious cycle.
@Hawk5684 ай бұрын
KMC Manipal maybe better but KMC Mangalore is certainly not.😂 They also have the same problem regarding crowd management & want to admit atleast 50 patients in the ward every week. Internship in Medicine is trash here.

As a government college passed out the only thing people of medicine do here is to get a rid of patients. Halat toh itni kharab hai ke BSL strips bhi nahi hote doctors ke pass . Things in surgical branches are better compared to this .

Sir i got 22k in NEET PG 2024..,im thinking to choose MD RESPI/Medicine if by any chance i get there. Is the language barrier a real issue out there in KMC MANIPAL/MANGALORE??
@GoldyBrar-ih2fe9 ай бұрын
Sir how is MD Psychiatry compared to MD Medicine, Is long working hours a issue in Psychiatry too, for govt colleges, i like studying psychiatry, i want to read more about psychology, therapy and that kind of things
@pushkarmahajan59709 ай бұрын
MD Psych and Medicine are quite different on the basis of the type of patients you see and how you interact with them. Even though the working hours might be less, psychiatry requires a much higher level of compassion and dedication for the mentally challenged and reading psych is just 10% of the job.

Hello sir.. NEET PG 24 AIR - 4639. if i am interested in medicine and do not have a problem in putting foley's or RT or just putting notes in JR1ship. But do want a decent lifestyle Then is DNB med in hospitals like nanavati, ambani in mumbai good?

I took dnb radio but I slightly regret it because I miss patient interaction, but I’ll continue it because I don’t have the courage to leave the course in between and give neet pg again
@pushkarmahajan597010 ай бұрын
Yes, that’s quite understandable. But if you feel that it’s not a deal breaker, I think you should stay positive because otherwise radiology is an amazing branch. And anyways you can do intervention later on for more patient interaction.

I am also planning to take radio but confused with medicine, do you still miss patient interaction?

Sir radiology me Delhi me saturation issue ka point PE apne kya observe kiya
@pushkarmahajan597010 ай бұрын
Saturation is definitely happening, especially in big cities like Delhi, but what I’ve seen is that if you can do any sort of specialisation in this field, there is still a lot of scope. Then you immediately get ahead of the major chunk of the crowd.
Sir can you give list of hospitals best for dnb radiology

Hey! I am sorry but I am not very aware of Apollo’s dnb radio, I have heard it is good though. It will be better if you try to speak to a resident who is working there for a crisper advice.

Sir I got Rank of 4300 this Neet nd I'm in stuck in similar situation. Please adv me if I should get MD Radio from peripheral gov clg in UP or Gujarat or rather go for Dnb radio(I will not get Dnb radio from top institutes either)
@pushkarmahajan59703 ай бұрын
It all depends on how much you can tolerate the conditions in govt colleges. If you can, get an md institute near your home, otherwise a decent dnb would be the same too. Both the degrees don’t make a difference in the long run.
@drbharath815110 ай бұрын
Md medicine is most interesting and thrilling compared to Radio as it is passive it will be more interesting when you become physician Radiology is interesting in your residency u can chill Radiology many topper r not picking because medicine was in demand when there were no subject like radio Derma now these branches r saturating medicine is still in demand and will be in demand in future Medicine is mother of all branches
@pushkarmahajan597010 ай бұрын
Medicine may be the right branch for you and you are entitled to your opinions too. I am just sharing what I had experienced and what I made of it. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with medicine and it is definitely the mother of all branches.

@pushkarmahajan59709 ай бұрын
What you said couldn’t be more true. Regarding radio residency, it’s the best that you’re going to get in any clincial field of medicine. Cons- some people feel loss of touch from basic clinical methods and patient interaction. But not everyone.
