They all began their jobs at Planned Parenthood with one goal in mind: Helping women. But as Abby Johnson, Sue Thayer, and Annette Lancaster became more involved in their work at the abortion clinics, their eyes began to open. They all had startling, life-changing realizations, and left the clinics to become passionate, pro-life advocates.
In this powerful two-day Focus on the Family daily broadcast, Abby, Sue and Annette give the “behind the scenes” on what’s happening inside abortion clinics, equipping you with the knowledge you need to approach pro-life issues in a loving but truthful way.

I have prayed & asked for forgiveness for the abortion that I was misled to have at age 13. The Lord is so very gracious & has granted me forgiveness. I must say that I believe our Lord forgives when we are truly & honestly remorseful & when our heart aches w/ pain for what we have done.

i got pregnant for the first time two years ago at 20. i was terrified. i was hiding my relationship with my boyfriend from my father who is a very strong Christian. i expected him to disown me, and i was nervous about my boyfriend's reaction. however i was SO blessed because my boyfriend was overjoyed, and asked me to marry him that night. i told my mom in the morning over text because i was ashamed to tell my dad face to face. she was SO excited, and just a few mins later my dad texted me that nothing i could do could ever make him stop loving me. that right there was the most tangible expression of God's mercy and grace. even though my dad was upset obviously he never yelled at me or made me feel bad and excepted my now husband into the family from the get go. sometimes the people around you will surprise you. i know not every situation goes like mine did, so i can sympathize with girls who have it harder. but it is WORTH IT. you can always put your child up for adoption. it is not worth destroying your body and another's life for the sake of connivence.

I experienced a spontaneous miscarriage at home with my husband. It was the most traumatic thing I have ever experienced. It was not a heavy period. It was painful and something that still haunts me. The fact that these women are told this and given those pills is just wrong. I was blessed with a little boy a few years ago. I can tell you that the miscarriage was more like labour. I wish I had been more prepared. I can't imagine how those women feel.

I am so sorry about your loss. I agree though, that they need to stop lying to these girls and women. It's not honest to tell them it's no worse then heavy period. They don't even help those who are dealing with regret, guilt or even being pressured into getting an abortion. They don't even give them other options because they don't make money that way.
@Alaitha
@Alaitha Жыл бұрын
Sorry for your loss... I had the same experience regarding pain. I had a son (30h labour), and then a miscarriage two years later at 9 weeks. It took a long time for my body to complete the miscarriage, so I got medical help in the form of pills. The doctors and the pamphlets they gave me told me that it would be like heavy period cramps. It was not. It was labour. It got so bad that I called their emergency phone number thinking that something had gone wrong. I had also no clue the size of what I would be pushing out. They said I might not even be able to tell it apart from the blood that would come out, so I traumatised myself after every contraction wave trying to find the baby in the blood. The baby itself was tiny, like a walnut, but it came with the whole amniotic sac and placenta intact, protecting it. The size of a baked potato. Not possible to miss. The misinformation they give to women regarding miscarriages and abortions is outright unethical.

Brings me to another era and another life before I realized I was actually alive and my life and life in general was REAL. I had my first abortion when I was a sophomore In college in 1979. My automatic reaction was to make the mistake go away. Not only was I a product of my era late 70’s early 80’s; it was totally the norm and a socially acceptable solution for my era and social Indoctrination... along with that I felt That my parents would have been upset and disappointed that I got pregnant before I finished college at an “historical Black prestigious “institution of higher learning.. years later when I told my socialite mother what I had done and a big reason why I aborted my first pregnancy was that I didn’t want to let My “elitist” parents down, I was totally shocked to hear how saddened they were that I made that choice! That was my first realization that I should never put others opinions as a priority over what was actually RIGHT!

I've always been against abortion, but this was the piercing of my heart and the finalizing of my anti abortion stance. Thanks to Abby for be courageous to leave a giant of a company like that. Abby, how do you manage to be so active in the prolife movement and still be a great mother? I have three kids, and as much as I wish I could help out more, I just don't find the time and energy to do it. Also, I had that baby that would tie you to an impossible guy for the rest of your life, but I still feel deeply guilty and sad every time I remember I ever considered taking misoprostol. It still breaks my heart, and my baby is 19 months old now.

Luz, we can't speak for Abby, but we hear your heart. Please know that raising your children in God's love is the most important thing you could be doing right now -- and is a powerful testimony to His grace. In this busy season of your life, you can pray for pro-life pregnancy centers and the mothers and babies they serve. You can also attend the March for Life virtually this year (marchforlife.org/)! And if one day the Lord calls you to volunteer your time more directly, we're confident that He will give you the time and energy to do so. In the meantime, may He bless and encourage you in all you do!

They DO NOT DO WOMEN"S HEALTH CARE! Abby is correct about that! I used to get my birth control from them and when I went off of it to get pregnant with my oldest daughter, I had gone in for a pregnancy test cuz I had several positives at home. They did the test, said congratulations you are going to be a mother, and gave me a list of area OB/GYN doctors in the area. They don't treat women's cancers either. I went to pregnancy ministries because even being married and waiting until 28 to have her, we were still blue collar working poor and still are. Pregnancy ministries which is funded by CareNet educates you and helps you get supplies for your child if you do what they expect of you and you can also volunteer for them by cleaning baby furniture that is donated and washing baby clothes at your house and bringing them to and from their clothes closets. You can earn points for items by the volunteer work, going to doc appts., Wic and county assistance office appointment, and going to church and bringing back a bulletin.

Older women, that are more experienced in life, have early-term abortions. It is the young women that often have late-term abortions, and I'm sure we all want these young women to survive the abortions, so they will be able to go home to their loved ones and in turn, make better choices in the future.

Abortion is a selfish decision that destroys 2 lives, the life of the mother (Mother will always live with that choice) and the beautiful child's life, that had no say in whether they get to live or not. I know that there are men that live in Sin and you didn't want to have the child because you didn't want to be tied down to him. My question is did you ever think about the life you were carrying? What about the baby in both cases???
