Philippines is where you can chill, relax and people mostly you can see they are not in hurry. No pressure at all and people always think positively.😊😊

For me your strength is your communication skills. The way you express your thoughts is so clear and refreshing. And when you just let your thoughts run , you let us go with you on a ride. This specific vlog is an example. I also like that you don't over hype.

As I checked your channel, your views literally dropped (by as much as 50% or more) when you left the Philippines for India. I've noticed this trend with other KZbinrs who stayed and vlogged long enough in PH. Once they leave the country, there is this significant drop in their view count. Up until now, this is still something that's hard to remediate especially for international vloggers. You must be good to be back here. 😊

You’re full of surprises Mergim glad to see you’re Ok and back in the Philippines! The Alien Registration Card is good for 1 year so it’s all worth it for me. Total in all for $450 rather than paying $1,400 US for my airline ticket. My friend is renting in Makati and she only pays 15k pesos a month. She takes P2P bus right by Greenbelt to get to BGC.

Mergim -- I am privileged you are making videos. I like watching them. I like your style and the voice you add. I'm a fan. I wish for you to be healthy and happy because that is when you are at your best. It's difficult to make authentic, honest content all the time. This is why you keep on trying. On to the next chapter.

Happy that you came back. Why don’t you search online for air bnb. It is a lot cheaper and more like a home. Just search for the area that you would like to stay and there will be lots of places they will suggest and you can look into them. Or call them

Taking a break and establishing new viewers from other countries is essential for vloggers, but making PH as your base is a brilliant idea.. continue what you love doing and you'll see more success.. can't wait to see ur future vlogs especially an India part2

You are always welcomed in the Philippines. One does not travel the country, they EXPERIENCED it - in reality, with quirky crowds and serendipitous experiences! That was what you were doing before going to India. That was entertaining! Thank you very much! Now, you can experience the typhoon - another unexpected check! We will continue to support you!

What it did show is that the majority of the 'loyal' supporters out of the Philippines didn't watch his work out of India as his view numbers for them fell dramatically. That there is no denying. 'Loyal' supporters follow the content creator from country to country no matter where they go and in that respect I do feel for Mergim who was entitled to think his visit to India as far as his business is concerned would have maintained a steady interest if not grown even further from interest within India. I can honestly say I was one (from Australia) that watched every video out of India and made comments on some of them. How many of the 'loyal' subbies out of the Philippines can say the same?
@metcard2 жыл бұрын
I'm no filo, I'm from Australia too. I did watch the first two Indian vlogs and didn't find them as interesting as the Philippine ones. For me it felt like Filipinos are far happier and more enthusiastic to interact with Mergim. The Philippine energy is just fun to watch imo.

Nice to see you back, Mergim! On the practical side, it’s nice to see you staying long-term though there’s a danger of having an only-Filipinos audience (depends how you look at it) if you’ll still be traveling. Though for your other country travels, I will probably appreciate a more edited video (with information, prices, etc) from a tourist point-of-view rather than a raw vlog. Your stay here would most likely be similar to Making It Happen’s and Juicy Vlogs’ videos when they first moved here - showing the city of life of Makati and BGC. You may want to consider nearby cities for less expensive rental expenses esp those with lots of food options. You’ll still basically be nearby and have access to all you need (good hospitals, necessities, etc). Yes, there’s still more of India to cover and given more time, they’ll love your content too! You may also want to set up an Instagram (to easily touch base with your ‘loyal’ followers for a more real-time communication via Stories. Also a Facebook page and upload your videos there. I’m told there’s a big audience that watches only FB videos like one does on YT (I’m just personally YT). So anyone staying here long-term will do well on FB coz we have biggest number of users there. Also TikTok shorts esp your store and food or resto recommendations. On the personal front, how are you and Maya? Would she be visiting soon? Don’t you miss your doggo?

The advantage of having Filipino audience is that we got a lot of overseas workers around the world who misses the Philippines. ❤ I love Mergim not exagerating things.

Welcome back, Mergim! So thoughtful of you to give such an explanation. Absolutely, BGC is world class. The prices there are world class too! Hehehe But when you cross Kalayaan Ave. or C-5 highway bounding BGC, you might find cheaper lodgings there. Makati central business district across EDSA is another option. Those are much closer to BGC than Binondo. Why not do your visa trips to Thailand? Just wondering. Welcome back!
@dolores88542 жыл бұрын
Glad you returned, Mergim. I must admit feeling disappointed when you abruptly left without explanation. Hope you find your destiny in the Philippines. More power to you and may God Bless your ENDEAVORS!

Silent subscriber here... Welcome back! Since you plan to make the Philippines your temporary home base, I really think you should apply for a television network in the news segment for like travel (local or out of the country) seeing as you have a commanding speaking voice and its not a thick brit accent. Infact it's just a perfect speaking voice. But learning the local language (tagalog) would be a plus. I hope you could bump into someone who belongs to a tv station to help you out. That would also catapult the number of your youtube subscribers if you are also seen on tv. If you are away from Thailand, what about your girlfriend there? Cheers mate!

My new fav foreign vloger is back and here to stay quite often, awesome man! You will make it to 500k subs in time haha. Trust me 28sqm studio is more than enough for you and you will save money that is the most common studio size in Manila, there are 1 and two beddy at 32sqm so 55 is actually huge. Another option is getting unit in Cubao or Eastwood CBDs which is much more affordable but also have great lifestsyle to offer.

Making a quick turn for India gets you some respite. At the same time it helps you get newer perspective and fresher outlook about another world, another culture. For the world horizon is so vast and wide indeed, and its diversity is beyond imagination. Nice to have you back Mergim! Your candor and truthfulness as to the process of making your contents plus the diligent and careful editing, separates you from most other vloggers. That style I think, endears you to your subscribers and followers. In effect, it somehow gets us inevitably 'engaged' if not 'hooked', to your daily vlogs.

I was really looking forward on your India vlogs, anyway I'm still glad you're back in the Philippines. Perhaps, you could visit & travel to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam etc while making Bangkok or Manila as your home base. Anyway, there's an incoming typhoon tomorrow. We might experience heavy rains and strong winds. There's no need to travel to the islands for now. I believe the urban area is your strongest suit. Stay safe as always. 😄👍

Lol, if he doesnt want to make those places his base, he is under no obligation to do so, it is up to him to be where he feels he wants to be or not, sorry if he probably doesnt go along with the current hype of those places; too bad.

Try to contact Make it Happen vloggers in BGC or the JUicy Vloggers who have just returned from UK who owns a condo in BGC for rent I reckon you can negotiate the price fairly. In doing so you might find more affordable place to suit your need coz they have been living there for almost three years.
