Hi Kent... I recently turned 50 years old, but I still want to be like you when I grow up! Keep up the good work & great videos.

I know it’s been two years. But my dad didn’t start doing Mercedes’ till he was over 50. You still got plenty of time :)

enjoyed seeing the aircraft. My brother John Rogers was an ap mech, flight instructor, restored aircraft, taught aviation in the High School and Jr. College. in Achorage. His wife Betty was the first female FAA inspector and worked out of the Anchorage office. My brother was there from 1970 or so until 2000 when he retired to Paulden Az, Sad to say he passed away 13 years ago. Betty retired in 1999

I am pilot too with a 172 in his heart. I learned to fly on 172s, I still remember my 1st solo, terrified but ready to make a nice landing. Getting the endorsement to land on water is still on my bucket list. Kent, thanks for your MB videos, I am personally learning a lot from you, I am working on a 190E 2.3 1993 to make it better than new.

I used to enjoy driving my 240D out to the airfield to fly my 172.

I have quite a few hours in a 172. When I flew a 172 on floats it took some real finesse to get it off the water with any type of load. :-)

I have a Cessna 150. Hard to get off of pavement with any load, lol.

You’re really getting us ready for your retirement aren’t you Kent? Not that I begrudge that, you’ve lead a very interesting life. It seems we have a lot to thank Joel for, I feel Mercedes Source will be in safe hands 👍🏻

Thanks, but I really don't plan on going off into the sunset. I enjoy the elements of problem solving and creating solutions too much to retire.

My 300 TD is in sad shape compared to the one you showed. Mine is just a enjoy it as it is a car and not worth restoring since a Northeast car. I also have a 240 both cars are blue with blue interior. Hope to see more videos like this enjoyed seeing the old planes and the beautiful Chris Craft.

Loved the airplanes. I fly r.c models also. I currently have 2 piper j2 cubs and a Cessna 172. My favorite bi plane is the dehavilland tiger moth. I've had several over the years and are great Sunday fliers as they are so docile and easy to fly

Hi Kent, John from Brisbane, Australia. Enjoying all the videos but as an ex flyer, I'd love to know more about your flying history and progression into working on Mercedes. Any chance you could do a longer bio on your life to date? thanks John

Did you see any W198, W187, or W188 parts/tools? BTW ~I made a bet with my Dad that I could beat his 8 solo hours which I thought was pretty good for an F-4U pilot. I beat him by 1 hour. I was flying long before I was old enough to get a drivers license. That was an exciting video. Thanks for sharing Kent, Joel and Dan!
@Mercedessource5 жыл бұрын
Good to hear from a fellow pilot and thanks for the nice comments. I only have one bumper guard for a W198, but have quite a few bits and pieces from a couple W187 sedans. Nothing for a W188.

As a kid I used to fly to Waiheki Island on a Grummen Goose. This was in the late 70s and the plane was from the 30s. The pilot even gave me the controls once. I wonder what happened to it?
@SuperMAZ0075 жыл бұрын
I wish I would still have my MB W123 mine had all the original tools and jack missing. :( Very typical for cars in East-Europe where people keep the tools and owners manuals for no real apparent reason.
