Thanks very much for another superb video. You're correct - ski flying is a lot of fun and when frozen up all of the lakes become runways. In many ways it is like flying with floats ( all off airport and off aerodrome with no windsocks etc. ) and as with anything else there are techniques for minimizing potential problems. Good luck!

My Piper 140 does barely 500' / min on a hot summer day (I can see the horizon over the front at Vy), but 1200' / min or more on a cold winter's day! Sadly no mountains here in Southern Ontario Canada :(
