When I first heard about New Generation was going to be a new cast of ponies, I was sad to see the group of ponies that I love were no longer going to be seen. But that changed when I heard that G5 was still the same world of G4 but in the future, and the new Mane 6 are reincarnation of the previous Mane 6. I love G5 cause of how the 3D makes the ponies look cute, amazing, and creative it looks. Yeah, Hasbro says there will be no more Make Your Mark seasons which some say no more 3D ponies. But I highly doubt that. In fact, we got a new My Little Pony video game which again is 3D and continues to make me wonder… will there be a sequel movie of My Little Pony A New Generation with the movie cast? I’m saying there is a possibility, and I would not want to think that it wouldn’t happen.

I just started watching it (currently on chapter 2) and I personally just don't enjoy it that much...but it's mostly because of certain stuff like how it ruined the G4 timeline, Sparky being the cause of most problems, etc. Also the animation style reminds me of SFM for some reason.

G5 may not be the best (imo), but it's not something to threaten death to someone. MLP was supposed to be about inclusion, to be friends with people, no matter what they enjoy. On the Chinese side the G5 community is very small, much smaller than the G4 community (which is getting smaller). Sometimes they fight and there are sometimes videos about why G5 sucks. I'm not going to translate those. I guess the reason I'm in the G4 community is just that I am homesick for Equestria. I used to wonder whether I'm male or female, but I realized I'm actually a pony. Sounds silly, but that's what seems right to me. I hope to one day become the pony I'm meant to be, perhaps in virtual reality.. Also, about the feeling of comfort, I will forever remember that one Sunday afternoon, raining, when I watched Applebuck Season and some PMVs. It was peak comfort. (Where did it go?)

G5 has no joke become my main source of pony entertainment as of late, one that has given me more enjoyment than G4 ever has in a long time. And I would honestly much prefer to see people be much MUCH more civil when it comes to their dislike for it, and would like to see more people just appreciating it for what it is. And the lack of the latter gets me sometimes because people need to apply that to G4, but oftentimes never really have. It's all just confusing and very goofy asf to me. This is legitimately a cartoon pony franchise made with kids first thing in mind, but well made enough to where even grown adults can have a great time with it. There's legitimately no point in acting this way.

I passionately watched G4 in 2017 when I became a brony and I still enjoy it looking back on the brilliance it provided, no matter if I currently wholeheartedly prefer G5 because it's been the generation I found the most comfort in from its simplicity and amazing characters that gave me hope and a feeling of charity in my life. Hell, when I discovered G1 and G3 most recently, they won me over more than both of those generations because it's something different and fantastic to indulge in, just like what happened when I first watched G4 and G5. I strongly appreciate and love every single generation of My Little Pony because there is something unique and special for anybody and at the end of the day, we are all dumb ponies who have their own passions and likenesses in the franchise. There should NEVER be any rational or moral reason to wish harm on anyone because of a small opinion. It's terribly disrespectful for everyone else. Hoof to heart! I could literally sit here forever dissecting every. Single. Thing. I absolutely loved about this video, but I'm only going to do two. Firstly, "I'm confused because I thought everyone learned about friendship" That hit me like a truck. Kinda redefined the point of MLP in the first place...to learn about friendship no matter your age. And second, I cannot tell you how INCREDIBLE your use of visuals were in this video as a WHOLE, but specifically that one scene when you were talking about the way they looked AND YOU SHOWED THE OG PONIES, WHAT AN IMPACT! This is genuinely one of my favorite videos I've seen on the Internet in a bit, genuinely. I'm so sorry this happened to you, I cannot consider myself as big of a fan of G5 as I was/am with G4, but I can relate to that feeling of simple happiness and Comfort from watching a simple...cute show. I suppose comparing and expecting G5 to live up to G4 was asking for WAY too much in the grand scheme of things....G4 and the Wave of it was a beautiful accident that I don't think anyone was ever expecting. G5 was unfairly expected to do the same...When maybe it was never supposed to, at least in the same way. G3 fans are different from G4 fans, I personally grew up with G3 and transitioning to G4 wasn't easy until I genuinely gave it a shot and found out I loved it. G5 fans to G4 I never considered...are probably the same in the sense of them just simply growing up with a different Gen of Pone.

I used to hate the g5 one, It wasn't really on the new characters, but the change of art style, I love lauren faust design of them, so that's why I hated it for a lil, but then I found the g5 stuff toys in the mall, I was kinda excited! Wow, such an heart touching video. I was in G4 fandom since season 3 aired on tvs. I've had a lot of good memories but also several bad. When G5 aired... it touched me on it's own way. Damn.. This resonates with me so much. I’ve been a big fan of G5 from the start, I also just find it comforting. It’s nice. I actually made a discord server that has fans of the gen and other gens too just supporting each other. It’s sad to have a lot of them are struggling with hate in the fandom but I’m glad we’re not alone! Aside from that I’ve always had a difficult relationship with my interests, as they’ve always been a little odd and childish. With normal people I can’t talk about it much, but it’s much more sad to not be able to be excited your interests with people who have ones similar to yours. Coming from someone who doesn’t like G5, I respect your opinion. I feel like most people on the negative side towards G5 can agree that we weren’t really mad at it, just disappointed. Because the thing is, when you connect a new series to a previous one that meant so much to people, only to tear it down for the sake of it, it hurts. G5 should’ve done one thing to save the negative criticism, and that is just making it separate from G4. That way, we could’ve just appreciated it for what it was. Aside from the movie, I just couldn’t enjoy G5 for trying to be more than it was. I hope I was able to get my perspective across well. Man this is so beautiful…I didn't take the chance to really watch the FIM show ehennit was still on air when I was a kid. But then I discovered G5 last year and I fell in love with it and the characters. I then wanted to learn about the show before it but I was unable to access the show on my own so I turned to the fans to learn about it from them. And I see why so many loved it and still do. But I do see hate that is present and I understand but it's suffocating at times. I'd say I'm more of a G4 fan personally, but I like G5, too. I watched the movie in the cinema (was shown in cinemas in my country) and it's pretty good. The music is lovely, and the character personalities and designs are all charming. I especially loved Izzy from the movie. Later on, series appeared, and while I don’t like some aspects of it, I keep watching MYM whenever new stuff comes out, and occasionally watch TYT as well. I've grown to like Misty a lot, the way she acts reminds me of myself actually. But let me tell you this - people like you keep the fandom alive, and it's thanks to people like you that G5 interests a lot of people. Because of all the G5 content, the hype is still there. I know a lot of people, including myself, prefer G4, but G5 isn't bad, too. Love the G5 mane 6 (literally working on an art with them XP) and how the fandom creates awesome content with them So yeah, it's not wrong to like them. They're cute and kids can still enjoy them. I hope to see more of G5 in the future, and more stuff from you!

The world is boring, stressful, full of pain, and difficult to navigate at times. You have to be strong and mature to make it through, but at the same time, it's okay to want to escape from it. People have mixed opinions about escapism, but as far as I'm concerned, to destress by enveloping yourself in a colorful world full of cute ponies and magic where the ultimate power is friendship is not a bad thing to do. Like everyone is saying, MLP:FIM and even G5 both gave me small bits of happiness and laughter that broke me away from the struggles of life. I'm doing better now, but I still look fondly to MLP for the good it brought to the world.

Preface: Attacking people for their opinion is bad. That said, as for g5: To each their own, but the one thing I will never forgive is that setting. They really went and killed everyone offscreen as the foundation for this. The way to make me like something is not by killing and destroying what I love and building the new stuff on the graves and ruins. "Hey we killed all your favorites! Just take these new chars to replace them, you're welcome." I genuinely don't understand how anyone who loved g4 can like that. It's a real shame, had they just used a new universe instead of destroying the old one, it could have been okay probably.

I know that everyone really liked G4 and most of them hate G5. But... Even though G5 isn't like G4 that doesn't mean they can hate someone who loves G5 or nobody allowed to love them. I'm pretty sure that is not what G4 taught us. I proud of Sunny and her friends and we have to. I can asure that Twilight must be proud of her.

I personally never watched ponies growing up, I only had my first exposure to G4 as an adult in college. I was initially wary of the fandom as I heard things like it was full of degenerates from 4chan and they're otherwise just weird for liking it. But when I got to know some fans and they were all just having fun enjoying a cartoon they enjoyed, I slowly grew to appreciate it and soon quickly watched through the whole show which was at the time only two seasons. What stuck with me the most was life lessons on how to love and appreciate those close to you, lessons I had really wish I learned growing up. as the show went on and the fandom grew and grew in popularity, spawning so much fandom content and communities, I felt proud to be a part of it. the show and the community helped me explore myself and allowed me to express a more true part of myself. this is something I also hear for many fans young and old as well. I might not be as deeply involved with the fandom nowadays as I was in the past, but I've been enjoying G5, even with its flaws and weird release schedule. it's also been fun seeing those who were my age discovering or rediscovering ponies who still genuinely enjoy it today, especially despite potential backlash outside (and inside..) the community.

I won't deny that g5 could've been better and that it bit off more than it could chew, but what it did right was introducing a bunch of cute and rather relatable characters. Heck, one moment that really struck a cord for me was in chapter 4 with Misty, when she broke into the Brighthouse, going through the m5's photo album. She was angry about how fulfilled they were, having friends and a purpose, until she saw a picture of herself with them, seeing that they considered her one of their friends, making her stop and whimper. I've... been in that situation more times than I'd like to admit. I arrived to g4 at the very end and I was with g5 from its very beginning, so one could say it has a special place in my heart. That's at least my five cents >.>

Thank you for making this video Maka. Despite the fact that MOST members of the community know to not harass people for their opinions, it's still disheartening to know that there are those that do. I understand disliking G5, but there isn't a reason that us pony fans can't all be friends together. Us ponyfolk are all despised by seemingly every other corner of the internet, so it's only ever in the presence of fellow pony fans that we can feel truly understood and enjoy our love of colorful equines. We're all on the same team here, and fighting for the same thing. To anypony in the community that has been harassed by snakes in the grass, I just wanted to tell you that I and the rest of the decent majority of bronies appreciate you and are happy to have you in the community. I can't stop turncoats from attacking you, but I can stand by my ponies in arms when they need backup. We're all in this together, glory to Equestria, the ride never ends, friendship is magic.

I don't like all the shows equally, or for the same reasons, but none of it fills me with hate. Maybe some of my enjoyment is a sort of schadenfreude, laughing at G3 and stuff like that, but I'd never hate someone who enjoyed it unironically. Anyway, thinking a different generation is silly, or not enjoying it, it's fine. It's okay to not like things, but don't be a dick about it. I want to watch it properly again, to just enjoy and not look too deep into it. The reason for why someone like G5 is like when someone ask you why you like MLP (in G4 time). I admit that I thought that I respect opinion to enjoy something that can not understand by others. But G5, esp. in my country trend, hates happen and G4 fans moved on. G5's writing has been all over the place, but I still find the characters adorable and would rank em all highly alongside their 4 counterparts. bro I almost cried with this video it made me realize something. I have to be honest I was very disappointed with MYM due to the writing problems, but I still really care about G5, even with the various problems I love the characters i love Zipp (my favorite), our eternally forgotten Sprout and Misty, part of me didn't understand why, but now I understand, it's because following G5 makes me feel good, when you care about something you can deal with the failures and just enjoy it for yourself, so thanks for reminding me of that.

I know is disheartening, and your reaction is the right one to feel appalled when witnessing people being shitty, but most of the time people react in a shitty way when they feel they are losing something. Ir doesn't justify their actions but understanding where they come from can help you avoid feeling resentful or disappointed towards the things you love. There will always be nice people and shitty people in any group you look into, just try to do the things you love, and be the voice of reason when possible. I’m a fan of STAR TREK, but I’m not terribly fond of the new versions that have aired on Paramount Plus. But I’m not going to threaten anyone who enjoys these shows; I’m just going to enjoy what I like. Even though I may not like a lot of things about G5, I can say that Ive admired the fandoms growth and community from what Ive seen. Sure, like all fandoms, they have they're flaws, but so far, Ive seen quite a lot of wholesome interaction and interesting creativity. (The art is also really cool in there!!!! ^^) We may politely disagree on a lot of things, but at the end of the day, we are both human travelers in this world, who happen to find Peace in Ponies. 😌✨️ Please, anyone from Gen 5, and Gen4: Keep going, keep living, keep thriving, and keep **learning**. I'm a fan of G4 and I was kind of sceptical with the arrival of new generation. I remember my feeling when I first sat to watch the very first film of G5 with my friends and... I enjoyed it so much. Don't know really why but it was something magical. It's not the same as G4, characters are different but it still got that magic. Yeah, surely "Make your mark" has some big flaws in writing but it was still enjoyable on the silly level of it. And people like you, that are making art with new pones, new animations, new songs make me happy that this small community is alive❤ keep it that way. I really appreciate you all pones! We need to remember that making friends is better than spitting slures on the internet~ like... I have seen on numerous occasions people claiming that if someone who watched and enjoyed g4 also liked g5, then they are not a "true brony" It saddens me to see that kind of gatekeeping nonsense in our community. Like it or not, g5 has its fans in the brony community, and it makes no difference at all to anyone what we like or not I've been a brony since the very early days, having gotten into g4 in December of 2010. I've seen pretty much every argument of "show's ruined, fandom's dead, why do you watch this" to all of it - Twilight's wings, Equestria Girls, Twilight's castle and the destruction of the library tree, Starlight Glimmer, the reformed changelings and on and on and on If there's one thing I've learned in all of this, it's that each of us are different, with different tastes, different likes, different loves, different hates, but that's all okay. That's a good thing. If we all unanimously agreed on everything in this fandom, it would be a much less interesting place. Just stop with the bullying of g5 fans just because you don't like it, okay bronies? So from this very OG brony, please let's all just try and get along

I think bronies need to get used to mlp fluctuating in quality as new generations come out. I say this as a fan of a couple other Hasbro properties lmao.
