i wish you wouldn't generalize reservist like this and give the wrong impression to foreigners, especially to foreign bosses. As a singaporean man i hated reservist. it takes up time away from work that i actually need to do, piles up my work for when i come back, and i usually get assumptions that i'm on "holiday" in reservist, when i actually feel more physically and mentally exhausted. mainly due to assumptions like these. Being back in the army just reeks of inefficiency, with army regulars spewing vulgarities unprofessionally, and asking people to do things in the most inefficient way. Just makes it even more mentally draining to deal with crap like these while also having to stay in at hime. toxic workplace environment aside, I had 2 foreign bosses that could never understand the concept, and as singaporeans we are sometimes sidelined against foreign men who don't have to deal with being away by force. Sometimes even female colleagues throw shade at us for having to cover our work due to reservist. i'm glad you enjoy it and that it gives you peace, but please know that not everyone is privileged enough to have reservist environments that are as chill as yours. spreading such information that reservist is "relaxing" isn't helping those that had to go through similar things like me.
