I'm a shenzhener who now living in Holland. I like Holland, I like the friendly Dutch people and lovely town. while I'm also missing my big shenzhen, and will definitely come back to shenzhen after I finish my PhD. Simply because there have more opportunities for young people. No discrimination!

About 38 years ago, Chinese leader (Deng) wanted to try capitalism in Sehnzhen. Capitalism works.

I come from Shenzhen, but now I study in Germany, Europe. After watching the video, I really miss my home. What you said are really actual, in Shenzhen most people are young, they are really energetic, ambitious, there is no prejudice about whether you are local people or not. Everyone are equal.

I am from Hong Kong, and I lived in Shenzhen for 5 years when I was young, around 1992-1997. I must say Shenzhen was much better back then. Now it is virtually becoming another Hong Kong, with its skyrockted prices, air pollution and crowd. Crime rate has been worsening these years too. It's particularly unsafe near train stations areas, and near the Lowu border crossing area to Hong Kong.

I lived in Shenzhen for 11 years. I would still be in Shenzhen if my health didn't go bad on me. I miss it more than I missed my home in the USA when I was in Shenzhen. I loved living in Shenzhen. The city is beautiful all times especially at night. I lived in Futian District close to CBD, the clubs, restaurants and proximity to the electronic section was nice. Loved riding around on my motorcycles on a clear day. My favorite place I lived in China even better than my USA home in Houston, Texas

I live in Beijing and I've been to Guangzhou and Shanghai. Haven't made it to Shenzhen yet but the little time I spent in South China I did like it a lot. What do you think of Shanghai? It's still the most flashy and impressive city I've ever been to.

Honestly, ma favorite place on Earth. Libraries are always filled with young, ambitious students, loads of fun stuff to do like the maker fair, clean air, tons of parks and is the skyscraper capital of China (even the world, but y'know, there's Dubai). Honestly can't find a better place to be, good life quality but at the same time, you get the adventures.
