My daughter just spent a year working in Maine. I absolutely loved to visit her for all the reasons you mentioned. Beautiful, nice people, nice craft and art, relaxed life style, mostly safe. I would definitely consider living there.

I moved from Portland when I was 14 years old. It was a great place to be a kid. When I take my family back there it is not the same. Way too expensive, too crowded in summer. I sometimes wish my parents didn’t move us but the opportunities elsewhere turned out to be better for most of our family.

Really enjoyed the video. You're a great ambassador for the state of Maine. Don't forget us in the Sebago lakes region. We're right on the way to the White Mountains from Portland.
