Over 25 years ago my husband left a career in International business to pursue his dream of teaching. We sold our very large house in a busy city to move to my home town to raise our children. A voice in my head kept saying, "You need to live a simple life." We bought a small home in a rural area with land, and have had a wonderful life. We refused to over schedule our children, giving them time to really play and be creative. We are now grandparents, and I'm happy to say our children have adopted the same mindset. Thank you for sharing this way of life❤️

This is my dream ❤️. My husband and I are 25, we were living in a large city trying to “make it” and we were never happy. We moved to a much smaller city , live a much simpler life, and in time my husband plans on becoming a teacher and we want to buy some land as well :). We were too young to actually be in some big “business” careers but dipping our toes in was enough to know that life was not for us.

Such a beautiful variety of personalities and lifestyles in this world - so I thought I’d share a bit about mine. However you live, be it with less or more, there are ways to do it with intention and avoiding wastefulness. Due to strong windy weather, I did not travel far from home this week - I’ll be ready for some serious adventuring in the days to come and will be sharing more. I have enjoyed talking to the camera and plan to do that more often. Thank you kindred spirits for your kindness and lovely comments 🌼🤍 Second note: Puerto Rico is a territory of the USA, I just didn’t explain that as I was focusing on my mother’s place of origin and assumed PR’s status was well known. It was a simple misuse of words. When you make a video every week it’s hard to get the wording just right! Thank you everyone As per popular request, I now have 2 flower art prints available in my shop. Also, Luke has made some lovely wire wrapped rings that will be available this weekend. I am an artist/creator too. I also write. I have looked at the minimalist life style and laughed. They have tables that open to an array of technological items, that are not in the minimalist profile. Secret places that hide an amazing amount of things. I have thought about how I would hide who I am, but alas, I am who I am and I like to wake up and have coffee and gaze at my works in progress. My writings in folders, with post it writings plastered all over them, for adding in somewhere. Collections of nature inhabiting spaces my elbows won't fit. Lanterns and candles just for mood appeal. My used laptop sits upon my antique desk and I wish it didn't take up so much room. I write on blank pieces of paper and as they get edited they move to a journal and the last place those words reside is on the laptop, in yet another file, to be exited onto a memory drive. I have laughed at myself so many times, for all the "stuff" I have; which are all used, for creating something or another. Creators are collectors, of "things" we find incredibly inspiring and useful, for creating something new. Regenerate, rejuvenate and revitalize is my motto. Thank you for sharing your Spirit!

You bring such calmness and beauty into what is a turbulent and ugly world outside ourselves right now, if we allow it to dominate our perception. Finding the simple beauty which is all around us is the key to escaping this type of reality. You have inspired me to start watercolour painting and rekindled my love for natural crafts again, and I’m really enjoying the serenity this brings to my soul. I smile and think of you each day as I use some recycled pottery depicting squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits and mice I found in a charity shop recently, as I sip my herbal tea and eat a homemade scone. This is what you convey so skilfully and beautifully in your videos - it is the simple things each of us can bring into our lives that can enrich us and that we can all find wherever we live. Recently I have bought older beautifully illustrated books that take me back in time to my childhood when life was carefree and full of joy and wonder. Spring is here with the promise of new life, as we see the earth spring out of the darkness into the light, to bring us renewed hope, peace and a promise of what nature can bring to feed our soul each day. Much love and many blessings to a kindred spirit.

You're preaching to the choir, I most definitely live simply but definitely not minimally. I buy a lot for myself, I'm just not a people person and will always choose peace and quite over being where everyone else is. I used to have the worst anxiety which almost made me housebound and I felt miserable every day. But then I took a huge step back and analysed why and I realized I was wasting too much time on the wrong people, too many toxic people in my life. So I finally started to live the way I wanted to live. I say no if I don't want to do something, I make time for people I love but I spend a lot of time to myself. And people love to tell you how to live. I hear a whole lot of 'you HAVE TO do this and you HAVE TO do that' its pretty pathetic. You don't HAVE TO do anything. Once you come to that realization it really sets you free.

I have ADHD, like for real, though I shouldn't have to say that. Minimalism isn't possible for me, but what is possible is making an effort to maximize what I have. As long as I make the effort, I feel I've done my best and I don't need to be hard on myself anymore about my clutter. I really work on cleaning up and trying to make the most of things, and that is good enough. What someone else thinks about my process is their problem at this point, and not a burden for me.

What a charming collection of things you've given a home. As you have needs, tables, chairs, bowls, cups, it's nice to think that they were made and meant to be used! I really appreciate the simple living vs. minimal living. Thank you for allowing us to come into your beautiful world. Be cautious about giving out identifying information of your location. Jonna Jinton, a beautiful you tube channel as well had a creepy person encounter. Your fans really do care about & want YOU to stay safe above all. Peace to you.

Your dishes are absolutely charming, and as long as you have a love of them, then they are perfect. My daughter and I began searching for meaningful/eclectic dishes for her when she was just 12 years old. When she graduated high school and was about to move out, we gathered them and she had a perfect set of dishes for her, it was so fun wrapping them for her, and even more fun when I helped her two years later to unpack them into a new home, seeing all of the thrift store memories we had made. She cherishes her dishes, and I hope she always will, as they are each a piece of her and me and our time together.

Thank you for giving me a new way to look at what I bring into my home. I have been becoming more self sufficient(as in growing more of my food) but has of yet looked at my imprint on our world in such a way as you have. I water color and pastel paint, craft and make greeting cards as my hobbies...these bring me peace... I will now begin to look at where the items I purchase my craft items from are sourced. Thank you again for the insight!

These videos are therapy as you openly share what and how you feel on things that are truly important. I would offer you to keep these thoughts to be placed in something in print for sale. The artist that creates with her hands can equally be revealing with matter on paper what the mind expresses in that venue. Let the creative artistry in words also be your pallet. You have the gift and purposeful drive to express yourself. It is good therapy for the soul if not for anything else.

Browsing through youtube videos in search of a way to re-invent myself, I came upon one of yours. (Perhaps it was the "fairy" in your KZbin name, because I love fairies.) What a moving and lovely spirit you have. I am at an age where many lifetimes have passed me. And I also have a love of hobbies, but since the arrival of the "virus we shall not name" I have been stuck and uninspired. I am nearing my "golden years" which makes re-inventing much more difficult in a world that is so "youth" oriented. You have inspired me. So thank you for your heartwarming voice, and videos.

I agree with you 100% on consumption. As long as we're not hoarding useless things we don't need or care for, why should we give up on things that bring us joy and can create from? I really love this video. Happy spring

I love your videos, they bring calm and peacefulness, they help me to take stock of what is important in my life, what I want to change and what I want to let go. I have known for some time that material things don’t matter, unless it brings you happiness, I love collecting random, theifted items and bring them to life again. Nature brings me great joy and I am embracing that feeling, my mindset is definitely changing, now to find employment that doesn’t mess with my mindset xx
