Why I Love Pasadena: Pie 'n Burger

Once my 15yr old son & I hop in their resto to savor their pie & burger; to our displeasure the Lady at the counter didn't have the courtesy to ask/serve us cheerfully. I have to wave my hand to her many times before she came by w/ "Medusa" look & muttered: "What! Are u guys ordering or what?" Prudence dictates that it does not require a High School diploma to figure out that 101% of the people who enter the resto are there to order food, all that the waiter/waitress need to ask is: "dine in or take out?" Sigh. To date (Dec. 1, 2020), more than 10 years have passed by and we got no regrets not coming back there...I'll be charitable to this resto, "Pie & Burger"-you deserved a ONE STAR category!

@@abjoseck9548 when I was there , no one acknowledged us at all. We stood there for a good five mins then left. Back then, This and Gus BBQ was pretty racist Didn't go back for a good ten years or so. Thank God Gus's changed ownership.

I have always liked Pie 'N Burger until I heard about their closure by the health department just a couple of months ago for cockroach infestation. Hard to believe that any restaurant operator would let a bug problem get to the point that the health department would have to shut them down for cleaning and pest control. Makes me a little nervous about going back.
