My girlfriends father has a rock ( golf ball size ) of u308 , he flew his helicopter for several mineral discovery company’s , and on one job they drilled into a uranium deposit , he took a piece of the drill core , carried it in his pocket everywhere as a conversation (icebreaker) 😂

Close to 80% of supplies are in catalytic converters for the automobile industry."....So when demand outstrips supply manufacturers have no choice but to pay WHATEVER! That is Not the kind period I want to buy my first ounce of Rhodium! Have to wait until manufacturers all stock up and the price just suddenly PLUMMMETS when a million ounces of Rhodium is just languishing on the shelves! And as long as there is a demand for Platinum and Palladium they WILL keep pulling up Rhodium so eventually? Gonna get MINE!

I bought 5 Cohen mint 1 gram coins and 12 Baird 1 ozt bars, way back at less than $1000/ozt. I won't sell mine either because I've got money, but not many people have rhodium. It's expensive to fabricate in to bars and coins, which accounts for the very high premium, and that scares most people away.

Pamp suisse also makes 1 oz rhodium bars. I am curious where is the best place to liquidate rhodium?

Hey Sal, I love the #45 metal also, but in the long term, same for platinum and palladium, rhodium will not be required as much for the auto and truck industry because of the electrification. But, on the flip side, going green, means going silver, copper and cobalt. Thanks for sharing this beautiful bar.

I look at the performance of metals and for the life of me I can't understand people's reasoning when they say gold (for example) is a terrible investment. Where are you going to put your money? Stocks are so volatile you're almost guaranteed to loose money, savings options don't cover inflation, bonds are awful. Maybe housing? Who's buying a house right now? I know I'm not.

Now I KNOW that Rhodium is not a good investment for anyone with brains because it is too obscure ultra volitile and likely not easy to sell typically.....so why do I LUST after owning at least one bar! I DO! I just WANT one! ....It will be like owning a rare signed print of a precious painting or something that one can stare at knowing hardly anyone else on the planet has one of these! In fact if/when I finally get one" I think I will name it "Precious"....my Precious! And Who knows it COULD happen to be worth much more than I paid for it down the line right when really need the money! Well ...or maybe not....it is like palladium on steroids! (damn I kick myself not buying Palladium at $600ish/ounce a few years back! ....DAMN! ) But I am serious! I DO want a bar of rhodium!...I am trying to decide price Target ...I am thinking $4kish.? To me realistic? ....ABSOLUTELY not ANYWHERE in the $10k neighborhood! NO WAY! $4k could well end up being foolish enough but I can choke down losing $3k...not 8 or 9 or 10 or ll ! I would hate myself losing that much! But I have squandered a few grand enough times I know what that feels like and I know I can deal....

I do find the catalyst metals interesting. Where I work we use several pounds of palladium each day, we also use items coated in iridium, but I have never used rhodium.
