One problem is a lot less overwhelming! I never thought about that, No wonder I struggled with math when I was a kid. So many problems on a page in a workbook, lol

Yes, it’s crazy how only have one to a page makes a difference

I love this list! Very encouraging. Thank you!! I learned some new things. T.T. Math has been very good for my oldest with ADHD. The only things I would add to your GREAT list are #1. you as the parent can go in to the teacher account and change a problem if the child made a typo (I have 2nd chances turned off for personal reasons related to this one specific kid). I always have my kiddo show me the scratch pad and confirm it was a typo. This is huge for ADHD children who often type something without thinking! And that brings me to #2. I love the scratch pad feature! Being able to use a finger or apple pencil/stylus when you struggle with dysgraphia is an amazing feature to have. It would also be good for kids who have sensory issues with paper/pencil’s sounds and feelings. And #3 the constant review is great for ADHD kids with struggles with working memory. The program does not work for my other children, but it has been game changing for my oldest!

Yes 100% I agree with all of this. I love your additions. There is so much here that makes it such a good fit.

Thanks so much. Do you have any other curriculum recommendations for ADHD kids?
@LifeintheMundane2 жыл бұрын
I don’t have specific recommendations based on ADHD but maybe I should do a video on how we make different curriculums ADHD friendly and some of the strategies I use to help my kiddos with ADHD.

@@LifeintheMundane I’m sure a lot of us moms would appreciate it! I’m doing ok on the strategies now (medication helped too) but there was a time that I really needed the guidance.

We were doing the free tt for the beginning but I noticed my son was getting so stuck because he didn't know his multiplication fact as he should for kids his age .
@LifeintheMundane2 жыл бұрын
Yes, for my kids who are still practicing there facts I allow them to use a multiplication chart during there lessons but we also have daily time working on memorizing math facts too.

Do they have an assessment where the child is at? My son is in 3rd grade I feel he is at kindergarten level. He hates Math!
@LifeintheMundane Жыл бұрын
Yes they has assessments and a free 15 lesson trial so they can try out the first 15 lessons (no matter how long that takes) to make sure it’s the right level.

We did Masterbooks level 2 this year. Did you find level 3 Teaching Textbooks too advanced for yours coming out of Masterbooks? I note that TT has multiplication which MB did not teach in level 3. This is my big dilemma.
@LifeintheMundane2 жыл бұрын
I didn't find it was to hard for my kids coming out of master books. I just have them do Xtra Math online for 5min a day to work on multiplication
