New subscriber here. I’ve had nearly all of the Kindle models since they first came out. I only read physical books when they are unavailable in the Kindle format. BTW, the Paperwhite Signature is 300 ppi. None of the Kindle screens exceed that resolution and the Scribe goes down to 150 ppi when it is using color mode. The Kindle Signature screen has better contrast than previous Kindles. The edges of letters also seem to appear a tad sharper. And bad Will for dissing the Kindle Oasis. The metal case, the page turn buttons, and the auto-rotation of pages are great features. 😊

Thanks for subscribing! And agreed -- loved the Oasis (and forgot I dissed it!).

I have both the Oasis and Paperwhite Signature Edition. I prefer the Paperwhite due to its form factor. I understand the idea of the Oasis and like the buttons, but i found it limits the way you can hold it comfortably. Having said that, i have moved to Kobo to get out of the Amazon system. I just don't want to support them anymore. I find them too restricting to both customers and authors. Yes, Kobo is still a thing. I believe they're number two in the ereader market behind Amazon.

Interesting. As an author myself, I feel like Amazon has been empowering, but I know others feel the same way you do.

You take that back! It is not better than the Oasis. 📚🤣

Hahaha I wish there were another Oasis besides a band tour.
