Romee, I am 60 years old. Diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer 3 years ago. Had chemo, radiation, surgery. I now go every 6 months for a checkup and for lab test, the one that the numbers determine if C is coming back. I just wait for the doctor to say yes, it's back. Basically I wish I had just 10% of the mental strength you have and you wonderful attitude through all of this, and at your young, young age. Thank you for your videos. You are such an inspiration. Congratulations on your college degree !!!! With your great attitude and strength, you WILL get thru this Romee ;) I wish I could have been there to play Yahtzee with you !! xo Tammy xo

I look forward to every one of your videos. You may not think your videos are interesting, but I think they are very informative for me personally. My father had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and I never knew the details. Your vlogs are really wonderful, the every day stuff, how you’re feeling, what you’re doing, that you’re bored, that you’re sad. I love it all. Keep it coming. Oh, and I am so happy that you treated yourself to a new iPhone as a gift for completing your masters. Congratulations! Maybe do another Q&A for an idea for future vlog?

Congratulations on your graduation!! You are fabulous! I’m so sorry for the chemo you have had to go through and for the boredom. All of that would be so hard. I would cry, too. I’m trying to think of something you could do to decrease the boredom when you are in the hospital. You may have already tried origami or other paper crafts like junk journaling or glue books. (I am pretty new here, so not sure of your interests.) There are some great videos online related to those activities. Just learning about them can be fun to do, as it gets your mind planning for your next project even if you can’t work on a big project just yet. Maybe memorize something like jokes, poetry, verses, or a language. The Yatzee by yourself was a good idea. Best wishes!

Hi Romee! What saved me during my hospital stays was getting into embroidery. I could be really creative with it and try new stitches, or if I wasn't feeling up to it, some simple stitches on a piece of clothing I already owned. Cross stitch kits are great too- there's less decisions to make which can be great if you're tired but looking to create something!

Romee, as I am also undergoing cancer treatments, I understand your need to get in the shower and cry. It's all a mental merry go round. You feel fine, but you have this thing that has grown in your body and you've got to get rid of it. I had a lot of "how did this happen? why did this happen?" Having a good talk with my doctor helped and like you, having a good cry, and then getting back to business (treatment) and knowing that it will soon be over. You are so strong, hang in there and Yay for the last chemo treatment!

Hello 👋 My hubby is from NL. He was born in Den Haag and grew up in Zoetermeer. I moved there after we married and we stayed there for 2 yrs then made our official home in the States. Which area *town* are you getting treatments at? I'm actually a cancer survivor. I was drawn to you because of you having cancer and living in NL 😊 I had childhood Leukemia ALL. Was diagnosed at 4 yrs old. I went thru loads of Chemo...3.5 yrs straight. I'm now 43 yrs old with no relapse. It is awesome you are keeping busy and not sitting at home all the time alone and thinking about life. Keep your head up and know you have a Dutch guy in the US and an America girl rooting for you 💞 Tot Zo 😘

We went through several versions of dressings and finally found the IV 3000 sensitive dressing was the best! Good luck!! Hopefully last chemo EVER! At least no more pokes while with picc line (:

So glad to have found your channel! I have been in the hospital every month in 2021 with Crohn's Disease complications and rectal cancer. I'm actually writing this in the hospital right now. I'm in the process of trying to decide whether I want to do chemo and seeing people like you lets me know I'm not alone. The nurses think I'm still too weak to take a shower so I had to do a bed bath & I actually cried all my stress out too. Does that count as a shower cry?! Lol. Also I'm just curious-- why didn't they give you a port? I have one and it's made life so much easier 😌 Thanks for sharing your story with us and hang in there!
