Filipino US citizen here. Born in the Philippines, moved to the US, got my citizenship, lived here for 20 years and in those 20 years I never got to go back home. Work went remote and I finally got the chance to visit my home again. Planned for 1 month and ended up staying for 6 months, and it was still too short. Everything in this video is so spot on. Planning to get back my Philippine citizenship to become dual citizen and I'm moving back to the Philippines. I can't stand it here. Only thing to love here is the USD.

Dual Citizen here (USA and Phillipines) Great point. First of all there is NO PERFECT COUNTRY. I totally agree with Go TRAVEL (check Thailand, Vietnam or whatever your heart desire). Then decide which country FITS your NEED. I just want to share I feel you when you said " The WEST HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO OFFER ME ". That's on point on how I FEEL.

So glad you liked it here. Boracay is one of best places indeed but also an expensive island for filipinos too. I’m from Manila. The first time I went to Aklan was 2022 and I fell in love with this island. Since then I’ve always return to Aklan whenever I had a chance to take a leave from work in Manila. This is my second home ❤ met a lot of good people and became my second family too. Hello to those people from Buruanga, Aklan! ❤

He was telling the truth.. I’m living now in europe and US for more than 20years and I can see the decline and the rise of South east Asia. Here in US they were fighting for gender equality instead of just make way a living a quality of life. Everything getting expensive and cost of living started to bite even if you have good ways of a work living. I can see most struggle here thinking how some don’t better good paying jobs to thrive. I can understand why alotbof expat starting to move elsewhere. We just hope this don’t change our culture in Philippines but anyway Pinoy’s been loving western culture and yet never change its authenticity as a filipino whenever they are. We welcome all foreigners wanting to live and change their life for something new in the Philippines. Mabuhay👍

I have family and live in both countries. I love them both. We all have different goals and aspirations in life. You find what suits you best. Money, benefits, conveniences, and the abundance of opportunities. Yes, the US. The simplicities of life or living that provincial life, beautiful beaches, etc. Sure, the Philippines. US$ to PHP, it goes a long way. So, absolutely, it’s cheaper to retire or to live in the Philippines after earning that US dollar. However, it depends on your lifestyle. Many Filipinos are impoverished and would like or are preparing to find opportunities elsewhere and you can’t blame them. It all comes down to your perspective. It’s how you live your life that dictates your happiness. Overall, what is your end goal? Plan for it wherever that may take you. For me, family will be number one, and never forget your roots.

It's so remote there! It really depends on your preference. Of course if one has money America is still a great place to live in. In the Philippines, I prefer the city and just love visiting the beach during summers. Yes, it's cheaper to live in the Philippines. The quality of life is good too. You just need 2000 dollars usd a month and it's a pretty comfortable life.

I agree 100 percent. Sometime in the future I want to return and visit with my brothers, however I have no desire to return to that stink hole. This is my home now and I love it here. I have even had nightmares about returning and then prevented to return to my home. I do have an SRRV permanent retirement visa that I worked very hard to obtain. I met my wife on a Christian web site and during the time of the disease I shall not name we video chatted three times a day for two years. After my arrival she sold her house and store and used the money to purchase the land we now live on. During this time we have built a farm, built roads and I have also been building a house for us which we already live in but it is far from finished. I am not a city guy and never have been. I love the province and the people who also live here. Except for family members there is nothing in the USA for me.

If and when you decide on a country other than your own to live in for the rest of your life check out a few things first. Consider your age and how much savings you have to start out with. Then, consider housing, utilities, food, medical, and your credit card. Consider medical insurance and hospital expense. Your Social Security may be enough to get by on but without an adequate savings, you may have a problem. Good Luck. I would never trade my home life in USA for any country. I enjoy all my friends and relatives and neighbors. I enjoy MLB, NFL, NBA games live. I love Las Vegas, Disneyland, mountains with snow. A short trip and I'm in Mexico or Canada . Good Luck, Jasper. P.S. That is not a very clean beach in your video. Lots of seaweed. oh Well, Enjoy.
@InternationalJasper8 ай бұрын
Yeah, I’m not relying on Social Security. I’m in my 40s and you can watch the NFL and NBA in the Philippines and I’m not telling you to move to the Philippines. I think you should stay in America with the masculine women and enjoy your life paying $3000 a month for a shoebox.

@@InternationalJasper My home in So Cal is paid for and I am semi retired. watch professional sports live. No Social Security yet, just my pension. I can travel freely and I do. It's not the first time to heard some foreigners say they are not going back to America or any other Western country. Time passes by and things change. You might find out one day that you are worn out and fed up with the local things. Perhaps going back to America, especially seeing former friends and family, the usual food and environment will solve that doneness. All I'm saying is that people change and you can be one of them.
